Every time I've watched this De Paul played he is utterly shit. He is one of the reason Messi isn't involve in the game as much as he should be. It’s a pen. The keeper isn’t standing there, he’s sprinting towards the ball, doesn’t get it and blocks off the player. It’s unfortunate but Wright etc pretending he’s just standing there doesn’t make any sense

Alvarez kicks the ball out of the way, scuffing his shot, so decides to run into the keeper and flop over. He doesn't have possession of the ball and the keeper is just stood there by that point. Alvarez makes the contact.
Keeper stops the player following up the shot, he could easily get in front of the Croatia player that received the ball with a slide shot or other ways.
