Interesting. Needs to do it though whatever it is. Even if they’re bang in form. Can’t waver.

They said on Talk of The Devil's that he had a bit of a face on when he was subbed in the last game. Perhaps he's stamping out any Ronaldo type behaviours before they begin.

He was in the team this morning apparently so not sure that would be the case.

Probably just arrived too late or something, especially if it was a late change as @TheReligion said.
Yeah it seems he’s doing something late in the day or EtH has found out last minute

Hopefully nothing to bad but if he’s broken rules then it’s good to see ETH treating everyone the same.

As much as I appreciate ten Hag's straightforwardness in general, was it really necessary to mention it? "A slight knock" could have sufficed.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

The players know if they do something he will be honest in public if asked. And then he’ll move on. Like he did with Garnacho. It’ll only be made into a huge deal on here and in the media.

Yep, or utilising the whole squad in busy period or something. No other manager does this

Why? Evans and Rooney turned up to training pissed and Ferguson said as much. Ten Hag is the gaffer and everybody knows it.

Yeah he will be loathed to bench him but it’s more important to the overall culture to be fair and consistent.
Yeah I agree. Seems very out of character for Rashford but nobody is bigger than the team and hopefully he swallows his pride and takes it like a pro. ETH not put a foot wrong with his man management so far.

Could have sworn that Guardiola called out Kalvin Phillips for being a fat bastard less than a week ago. Managers call this sort of thing all the time.

Since Rashford was meant to start today, I will guess that he showed up too late and therefore is on the bench.

Seriously boys, just behave yourselves :(

Most in form player, hungry to up his goal return won't play and it's all his own fault. I honestly hope it's just something to do with arriving late rather than anything serious

If it was anything serious like going out on the lash or something that warranted being dropped for weeks, he’d be ‘injured’ instead

Doesn’t have to be drama, I can just be being a few minutes late
Also I’m pretty sure stuff like this happens to many players/team we just don’t know about it because we don’t follow other teams news like United/they don’t get much news.

Part of the territory with United isn’t it? I remember when Ronaldo went to Portugal last year before the city game and the press talked about it for a full week like it’s the first time a player had ever done it.

Must have fed too many kids over Christmas and ETH is punishing him

Most likely lateness. Anything more serious and he wouldn't be on the bench
Yep, didn’t Garnacho get dropped for being late a couple of times in preseason? Loads of talk from the manager and players about his ‘attitude’ and ‘professionalism’ after that until he finally got the message in the last few months.

You can’t hold the kids to different standards you hold the first teamers.
