I doubt he will even get to double figures for us, but he does the nice link up play with his back to goal.

Nice poacher finish, hope he is there for more of those opportunities.

I'm digging his contribution so far. Tidy at link-up and having back ti goal, relentless at winning the ball back.

I like him. He’s the perfect stand in striker. If we manage to move on Martial, I wouldn’t be averse to signed Wout on a permanent as our back up striker. I can see him chipping in 10-15 with limited starts over the course of a season.

His one touch lay offs are great and showed good instincts with the finish. He'd be a very good striker if he had pace to match his workrate. Perfect second choice.

I lost count of how many times he won the ball back for us.

He worked so hard and his one touch play was brilliant at times.
Considering he's only just come into the fold he has slotted in nicely.

Definitely, a useful cog that is slipping into the machine very nicely

He surpassed both of Martial's season tackles and interceptions in his first start. It's definitely something which adds to our play as neither Ronaldo nor Martial pressed enough.

His pace is an issue but we usually counter wide anyway. Very good backup option i'd say.

For the role he played, you could not ask for more from him and he has performed brilliantly. Did all the blue-collar work to press upfront , come back to link-up , fight for the second balls , hold the balls well. The goal is such a bonus as he has been barely served .

This team looks much better with a striker.
This team is also not used to play with a striker, very little chemistry between him, Rashford and Antony. I think he's got the best effect on Bruno.

He was excellent tonight.

Slowly adjusting to the pace of the league again. His defensive work from the front is amazing, whenever we lose the ball he's there sprinting at the ball or closing the keeper.

His link up play is pretty solid, just needs to get on the right wave length when we counter attack, but that will come.

Played really well, he has improved every game. Delighted to see him score. He is quite technically gifted for a giant. Clearly lacks that blistering pace but he is starting to look useful. Works his bollocks off too.

He may run like Andy Carroll but he has a better touch than him. Plus he isn't a Geordie which is a bonus

His positioning is brilliant... Always dragging defenders with him. only a matter of time before he scored, could get us 10 goals before the seasons out.

The only team that matters
If he carries on like this we should buy him as a squad member if the price isn't too high, he's not gonna score loads of goals but his link up play and defensive work is excellent, a good option to have

I thought he did really, really well. He had a bunch of good touches close to the box, came deep a few times, and got the goal. And he works his socks off.

He also didn’t get any service at all, since none of our wide forwards or fullbacks actually cross the ball.

Scored a goal after Antony's shot was saved. Some decent link up play in the moves that led to shots in the first half. Shot from an angle blocked after Antony's pass forced him wider than it should have. Surprised he didn't do better with his header from Pellistri's super cross.

Whoscored have his pass completion at 100%.

His control is very good, works hard, is an actual striker to play off of and can hold off center backs... good instincts in getting the rebound for his goal too. He will probably start most of our games until the end of the season for us. Would like him to be a bit more of a goal threat generally (and we've seen nothing of his aerial strength yet), but generally I think he's done a very good job with his hold up and link up play.

Think we should make it permanent for next season very useful back up striker, and someone to throw on when we're chasing games for last 10 minutes.

He’s actually not that great in the air, his size makes people think he is. It’s more he has a better chance to win the ball, but he isn’t great at controlling his headers.

Wouldn't be ready to make him a permanent yet but you can tell he's an out and out striker and good fit for the system. Really liked his hold-up and build-up play today, got so many attacks started by being able to control the ball and allow the team to progress up the pitch. His lack of pace obviously can be a problem at times but liked his striker's instinct at being in the right position and anticipating the GK's parry.

Have to admit, that was a great finishing. And his workrate was just amazing. And yeah, his link up play was pretty good also.

Pleased for him to score. Could have been a problem if the games piled up. Important goal too so that will be a nice boost. I thought today was the most involved I've seen him on the ball so far so hopefully a sign he's integrating well into the team. Previous games I've felt his contribution Wass mostly off the ball.
