The tv angle from the camera looking out onto the pitch from within the stand is the best for making excuses for Casemiro. In real time it is next to nothing and its more of a hold around his shoulders more than a strangle as the melee is moving.

We've routinely hammered Leeds. And our turnaround is down to ten hag, not just Casemiro. He's class but we are able to succeed without him too. Leicester and Leeds are not good.

Not sure why people are so angry with it. Roy Keane would have choke slammed that lad, got suspension and return in a coffin, rolling his eyes back when he arise from the 'dead' and we would all be fine with it.
Hughes is fully unperturbed and appears not to have regarded the incident as remotely violent.

Appeal would be too much of a risk but when reviewed properly from all the angles, without time or any other pressure, I think they’d conclude that it’s Yellow not Red. When you look at what else was going on there in that melee it was bizarre to single out Case for a Red. Probably three or four should have had Yellows.
But, yeah, we can’t take the risk.
Lets look at the positives he finally gets rested. And if we cant win the next matches without him then its not a good sign.

Yep, it's about as good as it could be the as far as a 3 game ban goes, as we should really be able to beat Leeds & Leicester without him, he gets a much needed break, he doesn't miss Barca or the final, and we'll likely get to see how good Sabitzer is in his absence.
It would have been a bummer if we'd dropped points because of the sending off, but should be no big drama now.

Don`t think i see one player discussing possible cards with the ref after that short altercation, no one that is upset about somethin. You would think Hughes would be pretty feckin upset if anything malicious actually happened. Nothing. That context really should help the ref make the right call.
No point trying to act the hard man by grabbing someone by the throat, just go in harder on the man next time he has the ball.
