But we would have best chance to get something if Casemiro was there against Arsenal.

My main issue to date

1. Still we cant create chances.
2. Our defensive structure is Casemiro induced. Without him we conceded chances after chances and yesterday we shipped 3 goals to boot.

It might seem a harsh assessment but it's backed by numbers.

Our goal difference is poor.

We have scored same number of goals (32) as Fulham. Yes Fulham and Brenford. Even Brighton has scored more goals than us (37). Even ultra defensive Spur have scored more goals than us (39).

We have shipped same goals ( 25) as Liverpool & Westham, even Chelsea have shipped less goals than us (21). Everton have shipped 28 goals. Only 3 more than us. All those team are in crisis mode now.

After spending 220m, it's worrying.

Credit to him, for extracting maximum effort from the players. This is key.

In the grand scheme of things, he has done okay.
I said this, after the Arsenal game.

I will stick to it even more...

It's worrying. But it's his first season so we give him time but make no mistake he has a very big job ahead of him.

As of Today,

We have conceded same number of goals as Liverpool, Everton and Brenford. 28.

Crystal Palace have conceded just 1 more than us.29.

Chelsea with all their troubles have let in 21 goals only. We have conceded 7 more goals than fallen Chelsea.
Even Brighton, Westham, have shipped in less goals than us.

Brighton, Spurs have outscored us....

A very very big worry..

We would've won the game comfortably if we had someone a little bit better than Fred, who was very poor. The keeper is also a issue and his weaknesses were again on display.
Fred was totally gassed from having to cover the entire pitch and was always a split second too late because Leeds accelerated play all the time. This is the type of game that suits them. Chaos merchants.

Made this game infinitely harder with that starting lineup. Rashford has never, ever, ever, ever been good on the RW. He sticks him there, instead of playing Garnacho there or Pellistri. Just... why!? It just makes no sense whatsoever. His choice to bring Weghorst has a lot of question marks over it now. The paper thin squad will cost him a lot. New owners are an absolute must before summer.

Should play Rashford as the striker in PL if/when Martial isn’t available. Loved his reaction to Sancho’s goal.

He should not be in charge of transfers. Let him do what he's best at and coach. Him constantly picking Weghorst is costing us points.
Agreed

If he keeps playing Weghorst we aren't getting top 4.

This one is on him. Playing Weghorst. Playing Rashford on the right. Subbing on Malacia for RB and Lindelöf in midfield and killing our momentum. That's unacceptable.

No more Rashford on the right please, I don't remember him having a good game there ever. Less of Weghorst too.

It would be harsh to say that his first half line up made us bad from the beginning because it was against Leeds. But then again there is no easy game in the EPL.

Hope he learnt something from this game.

Changed the game with subs. Good to see.
Some strange comments here but that happens when we get a bad result.

His hands are tied, really. He cannot not play WW from the start in some games because of fatigue and there's no one else.

What does he see in peter crouch? I don't get it

Actually sorry, comparing WW to peter crouch is an insult to peter
Because he doesn't have any other number 9. Glazers shafted him in the winter transfer.

His substitutions rescued the game but his starting team caused them. He seems to react well to bad performances and adversities so expect us to pick up all 3 points at the weekend with a less stupid line up.

Not the best time to post this but we made a comeback with Pellistri on the right, abysmal Fred in the middle, 2 of our main CM missing. Its quite exciting to see the team he has created with only 2 windows.

I hope he can move Martial, Fred, Harry and Mctominay in the summer and replace them appropriately. I think with 2-3 right signings we could be title contenders next season.

Fred and sabitzer had a poor game, defence was bypassing them and they weren’t making themselves available , so game shifted to wingers. Leeds overloaded it. We just don’t have the depth. Fred/sabitzer have to improve significantly to get anything from Leeds and Leicester game imo

Yeah I don't want to see Rashford on the right ever again. Garnacho is better as an impact sub.

I do not know why he wanted wout sasquatch. The guy looks like a camel running around. He would suit Moyes tactics of 95 crosses a game but not the way Erik plays.

Another thing about today, as much as I have praised Alejandro this year, I think it is very arrogant as a coach to have a qualiy player like Jadon benched over him and then shift over Rashford to the other side and play Sasquatch every game.

It was a rude awakening today and almost felt like we had a tactically inept moyes like manager at helm again but he redeemed it with his subs later on.

Still it's an awful result.

Love the man. We knew there would be bumps in the road and we’ve had a couple recently. Still would have taken being in the top 4 and a cup final at this stage if you’d offered it me in August.

He needs to play Rashford on the left or up top though - we’ve known for years he’s poor/anonymous on the right.

It’s a thin squad that’s suffering at the moment and we aren’t having any luck with injuries/illness. I think Sabitzer will be decent alongside Casemiro.

Got the team wrong. Pushing Rashford to the right was awful. Garnacho isn't ready. Fred was diabolical
True. Maybe underestimating Leeds a bit there. But nothing more than a learning experience, and nothing to worry about

I'm not trying to sound clever after the event, but I would have started Sancho and used Garnacho as an impact sub. Weghorst is proving to be less than useless, so perhaps we will have to start using Rashford as a centre forward.
Sancho wasn't fit enough to start.

Result-wise, it’s like the repeat of 2020-2021 season under ole. We need to get out of this string of poor results asap.

Think you are worrying way too much. Out of those 28 goals, 13/14 were shipped against Brentford, City and Villa. At the end of the day we are a good few points ahead of most of those teams.

I think we are in for tough spell with the volume of games and losing Casemiro and Eriksen. ETH needs to find the right combination up front, issue at the moment is Rashford is probably our best striker and LW.

Hopefully he isn't for the summer. He shouldn't dictate our transfer dealings.

If he keeps picking Weghorst to start, we'll drop more and more points.
