Also for others worried about rival fans chants who honestly cares ? Did rival fans join the green and gold campaigns when the Glazers did something the league should have had a zero tolerance policy with. Did rival fans join the campaigns outside the stadiums to protest against Glazer ownership. United fans would be laughing their heads off if Liverpool, City, Arsenal had a Glazer-esque ownership model. Giving consideration to such things is ridiculous. Other concerns are totally comprehensive but not rival fans perception.

I've always doubted Wumminator is a real human being and concluded he must be an AI the admins run randomly with the sole purpose of getting on most people's nerves.

WE had so many fans who always claimed they didn't care about City, because due to their state financed doping their achievements didn't matter. The thing is, I feel the same will be true for us if Qatar buys us.
The way to look at it is that City had something that nobody else had. United would be one of three now.

Why we would need to cheat? Because most of our fans who support their ownership expect them to buy players for billions upon billions of pounds. The rumor wasn't even a day old and people were talking about brining in Mbappé next summer.

And let's be real, if that wasn't a real possibility none of you would get excited about them as new owners.
They really don’t.

Let me know when you completely change your mind again in the next 48 hours.
Sure dude. I'll be sure to not think of you in any way like I normally do. Nice example of whataboutism by the way though.

Just so I can be clear in the future since you obviously decide these things, what is an acceptable timescale one is allowed to change their mind about something?

I still don't think Qatar will buy Utd.

There will be powerful forces out to stop it from happening, both internally and externally.

I think someone else will match their bid and it'll be politically easier for the Glazers to sell to the alternative bidder.

Rival fans still attribute our success to Howard Webb, i really don't think they'll give us much of a fair shake no matter who buys us

You literally said you couldn’t possibly support the club if they were taken over by cheats LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AGO, have since changed your mind and insulted those with the same view as you literally around 100 hours ago and make a post complaining about others?

It’s insane. You’ve basically changed your mind because it’s potentially going to happen and you don’t want to deal with the consequences. To act like I am mental is weird as you agreed with me the last time you ate a curry.

Serious question, will you actually stop supporting Utd IF Qatar buy the club?
Are the only two choices to stop supporting the club or become a hypocrite who changes their principles/views when it's inconvenient?

Seems like there's an obvious 3rd choice of still supporting the club but not trying to mask the stench of the ownership.

Why is this rhetoric so commonly posted ? United have some of the highest revenue figures in club football. It's not a rags to riches venture that has overlooked many teams with financial injection from the owners.

If anything it's the opposite and a completely unique situation. I'd be very surprised if all of sudden the club started making audacious bids for players that destroy the already ridiculous inflated market value. Such an approach would be a cause for concern because that's not how you build a competitive high intensity team.
I’d imagine we wouldn’t spend much more than we’ve seen in previous seasons. There isn’t the need to build a completely new team. But having said that Manchester United have ALWAYS broken transfer records since the beginning of time. It should be expected at this club to bring in the best at whatever price necessary.

The new owners coming in will finally enable that to happen, as we won’t be saddled by debt and dividend payments.

We might finally become a club that focuses back on the footballing side of things instead of only the commercial side.

If some of my more recent posts had been read you would have seen that I’ve said numerous times the club isn’t the owner, and you can support the club without defending the owner. I would never defend any owner over any wrongdoing.

I don't think our spending was go absolutely nuts, but I think if there's a key player ten hag feels he needs, he won't be told we have to sell before we
buy, or there's no value in the market or have to make do with wout weghorst. The Glazers haven't had trouble spending to maintain our position in the CL, but once they feek we've achieved that they tend to reign it in. Its just been incompetence that's meant that they've had to spend more than they like but it's always been about keeping us top 4

I have thought about it a lot over the last two weeks and decided against it. Is that something that I'm not allowed to do?

I'm not allowed to change my mind simply because I want to continue watching my team? something I have done almost religiously for over 25 years.

Last time I checked by the way my decision one way or another is utterly meaningless, what consequences do you speak of that I must now face?

Going through peoples post histories to find things to use against them is the behaviour of an absolute lunatic.

It's an Internet forum ffs, not a court of law

You absolutely can not completely and unequivocally shift your viewpoint when it benefits you and then insult others as a #topred when they have the same opinions you did a few weeks ago and then act as if I’m being unfair. If you want to be a hypocrite that is fine (your words) but don’t then insult those who felt the same as you literally a few weeks ago.

It's because the buzzword hypocrisy has replaced whataboutism

I am really enjoying this year and the evolution under Ten Hag. I hope the new owners whoever they are leave him and his team to make decisions on new players.

It feels like 91 again, where you can sense it’s coming back.

Technically no, I haven't shifted my viewpoint. I said a few weeks ago that I "might be finished as a supporter" which indicates I had not fully made any decision and was thinking about things.

You'll be next
It genuinely is like a lawyer

"Mr. Berbaclass you claim to be OK with state ownership, yet I, wumminator, the arbiter of who's a true fan, have documented evidence from the 3rd February where you say otherwise, how do you account for this discrepancy"

It's absolute madness

Would we have been put for sale if Ole hadn't wasted so much money and left us in such a huge mess? Has Ole retrospectively saved Man Utd?

It'll never be like it was under Fergie again. I'm just glad I was able to be part of what will always be considered the best years of our club for a very, very long time.
Yep, though frustratingly we are coming close again, just need an affluent and nonchalant family to own us and appoint a Gill to help out ETH. All this oil money bollox will just serve as a distraction.

I think I will step back 100%. I can’t justify supporting that regime. I have been coaching/playing with some local teams and will focus on that I think.
That’s cool, always good to hear people involved in grass roots. Will be genuinely interesting to see if your thoughts remain the same when we approach a title etc. I don’t mean that as a “you’ll obviously come back” way.

Exactly this.
INEOS shareholders and Board would never allow a £5billion loan to be paid off from profits of the existing business. They will be assured that the interest payments would be met by the profits of the new company they were buying.
IE us.
IE back to square 1
Not likely.
