Worst scout to ever exist
Isn't he like Fabrizio but for Qatar based news?No he isn’t

Don't remember much about their takeover but the Newcastle takeover had as much, maybe more media outrage. I'm sure things will escalate if it appears Qatar are taking over though.Tbh was there this much media outrage when Abu Dhabi purchased city? I doubt it.
Course not. They walk away filthy rich without putting money in except buying their inital stakesWill the Glazers have to pay the debt they created with their leveraged buy in
#FSGOUT is trending.
I guess we know what Liverpool fans really think about the bid.
Think he's the son of the former prime minister. Directly connectedSorry if I'm all confused by this guy. Is he 100% part of the royal family or is he just a rich Qatari banker with connections? If he's just a rich Qatari united fan without direct connections to the state then that would be great?
Ditto. A big hell no.
i assume you have mentioned this to the Glazers before posting hereQatar should be rejected in every way possible
The Qatari Royal Family, Al Thanis, consists of several thousand members, hence the confusion. He comes from a key branch of the family, but not the main one. Probably makes little difference in terms of funding - this will have been approved at highest QIA level.Sorry if I'm all confused by this guy. Is he 100% part of the royal family or is he just a rich Qatari banker with connections? If he's just a rich Qatari united fan without direct connections to the state then that would be great?
He’s on about the wrong guy again isn’t he? This guy isn’t the Prince Charles bribe fella.Guys an idiot
Seems like it. Will be fun taking Haaland to be the big lump when Mbappe doesn't score after City get relegated. So it’s actually happening then…. Mbappe bid incoming in the summer…
Yes
Current emir's great great great grandfather and our bidder's great grandfather were brothers apparently.Sorry if I'm all confused by this guy. Is he 100% part of the royal family or is he just a rich Qatari banker with connections? If he's just a rich Qatari united fan without direct connections to the state then that would be great?
Yeah would be interesting to know more about it. I mean it seems possible that it's not. I get he's a royal background and his dad used to be PM , but from the sounds of it their branch of the family was kicked to the curb a bit from state affairs? If so and we aren't directly backed by the state then maybe that could appease some? But of course it could all just be for show and to get around the multiple ownership thing with PSG.Reading FT article makes it sound like its not state backed. Not sure if it is just to avoid ownership criticism

He prefers to be known as Reggae. Can we call him Jazz?
Jazzy. Nickname’s gotta end in a -y.Can we call him Jazz?
You’ll see I’m a staunch defender of Qatar against the extreme hate from some. But I agree. He was chosen because he is a United fan, and also has a credible work history.Everything said and leaked so far doesn’t suggest they’re going that way. They’re very good at PR at least. The entire media campaign so far has been textbook.
My understanding is it stays on the club but reduces the price of the club by the amount of the debt. It's up to the new owners to wipe it or not. Will the Glazers have to pay the debt they created with their leveraged buy in
Totally agreed, from what I can see any and all negativity is wiped out by the prospect of becoming another Man City, something we were proud we hadn't yet become.Thank you! Finally a voice of reason.
What is going on here? I thought redcafe is supposed to be a positively selected sample of our global fanbase. I'm not recognising it here.
Are we really going to throw our values out the window at the first smell of some cash for a couple of trophies? So we (as a fanbase) were just pretending our outrage at city and chelsea for the last 15years?
I think I'm even more saddened by the reaction of our fanbase than by the prospect of having to stop supporting this club after 20+years. We are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. Where is the outrage?
One of those where you have to stick your head in the sand to not see it.Reading FT article makes it sound like its not state backed. Not sure if it is just to avoid ownership criticism
Yep. If we didnt know it already, the game is well and truly fecked.Feeling sick right now. Hoping for a miracle here.
Imagine being happy and looking forward for some backwards oil state to own one of the biggest and traditional English institutions.
Jim is emptying his desk drawers out looking for some tippex. It's almost 10pm...still no other bids?
