Two massive saves, could easily have been a very different game without them.

He was David de God of old today. If not for him, game might have panned out rather differently.

Two good saves, couple of punches that should of been catches and distinctly average distribution.

Credit where credits due the two saves in the first half were massive for us today and he should take plaudits for it.

his 2 world class saves outweighted his poor distributions/reluctance of coming out in crosses tonight

"DDG old fashioned keeper"

Right. Average shot stopping today would've conceded both goals today and we would have lost that one.

Equals Schmeichel's record with that. Hopefully he can break it as early as next week vs Barca/Newcastle.

The Caf managed to overwin their bias quite quickly when it came to Shaw and Rashford. Wonder how many worldies de Gea will have to pull off before the same thing happens with him. He's having a great season.

Some of the saves from DeGea in that first half, it was like watching him from five seasons ago. Quality.

I’m his biggest critic but fair play. Excellent saves today. The Kelechi save was wonderful. Good distribution. One good punch. Maybe could’ve come and claimed one Souttar header in the first half. Our best player today alongside Bruno and Rashford.

Yeah what a terrible old fashioned not progressive enough GK performance.

Whilst I agree with you, going the other way average shot stopping and claiming the ball has us possibly getting points in other games?

Blast from the past today, was like watching the old De Gea again. That one clawed out off the line was great to watch.

Some fans seem to have invented this fantasy goalkeeper we could replace him with, who will play "modern" football whilst also making all the saves De Gea does, and all the ones he doesn't make as well and making no errors in the process. This goalkeeper doesn't exist, and I think we'll find that out when we have to replace him.

Two absolutely vital saves today and overall played quite well, dealt with some crosses and even kicked decently.

It wasn't very progressive he put us under pressure with his hit and hope distribution at times today.

2 good saves but they were poor finishes better players put them away comfortably. And we would be looking at why we come under so much pressure and couldn't build or sustain attacks and some of that was because De Gea's distribution was pretty poor.

But today Dave made the saves, deserves the credit and we move on.

MoTM and fully responsible for us getting 3 points instead of 1 or 0 today. Had any of their early chances gone in, it would've demoralized us and could've easily resulted in us not getting one or two of Rashford's goals.

I don't think anybody realistically expects that. I want a better all around keeper. He won't make every save that De Gea makes, but he will be better during the build up, deal with crosses, and play more proactively in 1v1's.

City have won the last 4/5 PL's with a pretty bad shot stopper. You don't need an amazing shot stopper to win trophies.
