Not to worry on the Glazers staying articles etc, it just the journalists making shit up now that the bids have been made. Well likely enter a week of relative radio silence until the actual bids go in, I believe the 25th was earmarked as a deadline for offers.
Is that the first hard deadline?

I'd take it if it means no qatar
This is the only solution worse than Qatar for me. If we come out of this whole farrago £4bn in the hole as opposed to £600m, it’s been an utter disaster. The Glazers can’t afford the interest payments on their own, we’d end up with a 50yr mortgage that swallowed every penny of revenue for the entire period. You could literally fold the club tomorrow as opposed to taking that deal and it’d be the same result.

Hope we aren’t run like a circus
I already said before, it has little to do with PSG. And I also mentioned years ago and last year that it is one issue with Campos, here you have him losing it while being Lille's DOF and the same happened at Monaco.

Probably has a little to do with PSG if they employed a bloke with that much previous.
Well Campos is pretty good at his job and many in here wanted him as the DOF especially when Mourinho allegedly wanted him. At the end of the day, Campos is the one that will give bollockings which I know many fans want from the manager but in this case you have a DOF and head coach dynamic, the head coach isn't the boss it's Campos and he gave his version of the hairdryer.

Have we had any responses yet from the fan groups that do the Glazers out protests about the prospective bidders?

Is Qatar completely off the table for them? Could we see a huge round of protests if it's looking close to Qatar buying the club?

The moment these 3 start offloading shares, the value will plummet. Even at current evaluations, United is valued at 4bn. With Qatar bid, they stand to earn 25% more. That is after assuming that there will be no drop in share price once the siblings start selling.

Didnt know Joel and Avram owns 33% of total Glazer share. This makes Elliot news from Ogden even more foolish
Joel owns 19, Avi 14.

Interestingly, Darcy, who owns 18, probably wants feck all to do with any of this.

MUST came out with some not very strong comments expressing concerns with both the Qatar and Ratcliffe bids.
"There are questions about sporting integrity given the exceptionally close links between some bidders and the owners of other European clubs including PSG and Nice," said MUST, which is one of the largest supporters' groups in the world with over 200,000 members.

"There are also questions about whether any bids will also be based on high levels of debt.

"We also note the importance that any owner respects the rights of all people, particularly women and the LGBTQ+ community. Concerns have been raised by other fans groups which we fully support."

Neville said he did a Q&A pre-match with over 300 fans and the straw poll overwhelmingly favoured Qatar.
With all due respect though....fans don't know diddly squat when it comes to these things.. If Jim was the richest of the available options and Qatar wasn't even on the table he'd have won that poll by a landslide and the narrative would be different.

Likewise if Qatar was on the table and wasn't the richest..... everyone would be saying how could we sell our souls like that?

You see sportswashing works very quickly. Give football fans dreams of owners with bottomless pockets and they will look elsewhere for everything else.

Jim Ratcliffe would be a huge improvement on the Glazers and we won't be selling our souls to sportswash a nation at the same time. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Ultimately though the Glazers will accept what's best for them not the club.

Or Qatar has so far offered better plans than Ratcliffe

If Qatar wasn't on the table wouldn't Ratcliffe be the only option outside of the current owners?

Wait a minute, you're saying if Qatar didn't have loads of money, fans wouldn't want them as owners

How long have you been sitting on this bombshell information?

These morons, who are the same morons that pushed for Poch over Ten Hag, just can't stop lying.
Yup. Whatever you think about the Qatar bid, it's clear to me they are preferred based on their football manifesto.

Even if you don't want them to win, shunning them completely is naive because maybe we can force other bidders like Ratcliffe to up their proposals.

I googled her, I am surprised they're the same species.
Her bio on the Bucs website is interesting :wenger:

Darcie Glazer Kassewitz has been the driving force behind many of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' innovative, forward-thinking fan engagement and community outreach initiatives, retail activation, and facility design. She is focused on ensuring that the Buccaneers and the Glazer Vision Foundation create a lasting positive impact on the Tampa Bay community.

A US Hedge Fund is willing to put up the money for the Glazers to remain in charge of United.....that won't sit well with the supporters at all

I don't want Hunan rights abusers owning United. I shouldn't have to explain or justify that to anyone.
There's unfortunately not much we as fans can do to bring in our preferred owners. If we feel so strongly about the owners there are only a few options open to us as fans. Either stop supporting the club or protest the purchase.

I have been through a number of owners over my time as a fan. My general focus is on the watching side of the club. Owners come quite low on the list of my priorities unless there is a real risk of the club being in financial peril. This is certainly the case at present if things don't change. We can only hope whoever takes over should have the best interest of the club both on the pitch and off.

Yeah they probably have for the sporting project but as has been discussed over and over that comes with a huge huge price. The biggest football club in the world selling it's soul to become a political tool for Qatar.
