Let's wait and see hey ! I'm actually a pretty good judge of a player, although no expert. I remember the early days of Christiano Ronaldo when most United fans were slating him. I remember arguing with the majority of people in the pub about it. I predicted he would become the best player in the world, I was laughed at.

Guillem Balague's opinion piece on the BBC sport website states Casemiro will be exposed by his lack of pace and being slow on the turn, he lacks the ability to control the spaces behind him. He will now be competing in a league where games are played at a much quicker tempo, where most teams are faster and stronger than what he is used to. He said Casemiro has been offering the Club less and less over the last 18 months .

I hate to say it but am I ever wrong about a new signing. This guy is finished, Madrid sold us a dud. No wonder Ten Hag doesn't start him. He doesn't suit the type of football Ten Hag wants to play. He's a destroyer type DM and what we need is a possession based DM like Carrick/Busquets. It's another 60m down the drain and he'll probably just be a last 10 minutes off the bench player which is what he should be at most. Early days I know but I don't think he's going to be a good player for us, he's another player that lacks mobility like Maguire and they struggle in the premier league. Clearly he's not as immobile as Maguire, but he's not the quickest and not the youngest which is going to cause him problems.

Agree. Robson was my heroe, I include Ince in our great midfield list and Keane was obviously fantastic too. No disrepect to Carrick who did very well in his later years, but we have had a few false dawns and flops....but Casemeiro is the first proper intelligent midfield warrior we have had in nearly two decades which is crazy since the first two decades I supported the club we had one after the other

Casemiro wanted to leave once he knew RM drafted in Camavinga and Tchoumani, thus limiting his playing time. And then he wanted to come to United. His relationship with Fred and Varane helped, but he wanted to leave and come to United. Kept it very quiet but knew exactly what he was doing and why....
