Casemiro seemed strangely affected against Arsenal. Far more composed in his previous two matches. First game at Old Trafford maybe unnerved him?

What have Madrid been feeding him ffs!

Looks like he could lose a fair bit. Still think his signing has lifted the team though.

Edit: OK, the picture above suggests otherwise, but he definitely looks heavy (without his shirt off)

He will start against sociadad I’m sure.

it might help him settle playing a la liga team.

Don't let his chubby face give you the wrong impression, look at the post ONE above yours, he's a physical specimen!

He’s always had a chubby face. Never lost his baby fat by the looks of it.

Looks like he’s just come back from a 2 week lads holiday on the pop, definitely the right decision not to start him.

I’ve already gone into it but sure.

He’s lightweight. Can’t keep the ball under pressure.
He’s in his 30s and isn’t someone who’s relied on his on the ball attributes.
Big wages for someone which will keep him here too long.

We need strong players on the ball. Players who will be the foundation of a long and, hopefully, successful team. Players who don’t continue to ruin our wage structure.

I’m not trolling.

I don’t like this signing.
It was true today he had that heavy touch as he was close to being pressed

Not good compared to Thursday's cameo, he'll come good though

I hate to say it but am I ever wrong about a new signing. This guy is finished, Madrid sold us a dud. No wonder Ten Hag doesn't start him. He doesn't suit the type of football Ten Hag wants to play. He's a destroyer type DM and what we need is a possession based DM like Carrick/Busquets. It's another 60m down the drain and he'll probably just be a last 10 minutes off the bench player which is what he should be at most. Early days I know but I don't think he's going to be a good player for us, he's another player that lacks mobility like Maguire and they struggle in the premier league. Clearly he's not as immobile as Maguire, but he's not the quickest and not the youngest which is going to cause him problems.

He's playing like Charles Barkley in Space Jam when the aliens stole his talent.

No idea why we signed him if the plan was to play Eriksen deep with Fred / McT running next to him.

I'm sure there's some plan because we bent over backwards for Ten Hag and I assume he wanted Casemiro but curious to see what it is.

It’s clear this was a club signing rather than Ten Hag. Let’s see how it goes.

Did he had party last night?
Anyway Arsenal actually looked worse when he got subbed in. No idea how maybe the 2nd goal broke them, maybe Casemiro has this Defense Aura around him

He will be fine and a nailed on starter soon enough, he just needs to find his feet. Anyone doubting him with what he’s achieved in his career is mad.

A lesson on the pace of the Premier League for our Case today.

More hard work needed.

ETH is doing the right thing and bringing him into the team slowly. It’s a new league and new manager for him, and when McT is playing well there’s no need to rush him in.

He needs it
He does. It will settle him down and, at the same time, sharpen him up a bit.

He looks very classy but even the best need to feel their way into a new team in another country. I don’t think he’ll need long.

I was calling for him to start and I think we’ve seen a bit more ETH wisdom today - he’ll be a regular, probably even the key player for us, all in good time. We’re doing okay and winning games so there’s no mad rush.

I miss when newbies couldn’t post in the main forums. Shocking post.

The plan was to play Eriksen deep with Casemiro next to him. Pretty sure that’s what we’ll see in a few weeks.
