Reasons to not let newbies roam freely. Troll account. This guy is spent. Should be used as an impact sub at most.
He looked like he was struggling with something pretty early on in the game hence not sprinting.Uncomfortable reality is he's not been as superb as everyone has been making out the last few weeks. Obviously he's been good but he's looked sloppy and slow at times but people overlook it because of his wider impact. Today he looked like he was 50 not 30. Barely broke into a sprint all game. Extremely worrying as he's our most important player by a mile.
I think that's a shockingly knee jerk reaction. He was terrible today as was everyone on the team but he looked injured and this wasn't representative of his season. He was been amazing in most games this season so having one bad game mean anything.Uncomfortable reality is he's not been as superb as everyone has been making out the last few weeks. I think we could beat Betis without him myself. He needs a break but we can't afford to give him one.
I wouldn't be surprised to see another stupid sending off in the next few weeks anyway.
I think there'll have to be a few changes. The problem is that our backup players simply aren't good enough.I think we could beat Betis without him myself.
I'd be more than happy if we rested a few on Thursday evening, as long as they stay in the tie I trust us to beat them in the second leg.
As long as were still in the tie I think we will be good.I think there'll have to be a few changes. The problem is that our backup players simply aren't good enough.
He's been our player of the season for me (Rashford a close second) but if i do have one worry is that his passing seems well below 75% on most occasions. Makes up for it with leadership, incredible tackling and interceptions, and creativity but i'm always wondering what his passing accuracy was like at Real Madrid because he does give it away a fair bit. From the get go his passes were all over the place. For united to function he has to function. Today he didnt but he will be back,

i am fairly certain he was playing with a knock. He wasn’t putting himself about as he ordinarily does. Not buying that he was “tired”. He’s missed four games through suspension in the last month so has had a lot more rest than some others.Did he get injured early on? Looked to not be moving comfortably throughout.
He's in credit overall, but was ghastly today.
Thats the point, it's not a kneejerk reaction because I've been thinking it before this game. Also, I've acknowledged he's our best player so I'm not exactly going in on him.I think that's a shockingly knee jerk reaction. He was terrible today as was everyone on the team but he looked injured and this wasn't representative of his season. He often misplaces passes I've found, especially early on in games, and no-one ever seems to talk about it just going mad with the superlatives. His passing were really off and very casual. Made you remind about the supposed opinions of Carlo Ancelotti on him.
I actually don’t fully disagree with this. I find myself bringing up his sloppy passing in the Fred thread a lot because it’s been amazing to me how he often gives the ball away equally as carelessly as Fred, without a word of criticism, while Fred gets slaughtered every single time.Uncomfortable reality is he's not been as superb as everyone has been making out the last few weeks. As good as we have been, it's mostly been counter pressing and attacks on transitions where we have made our bread and butter. We may be resilient and solid but we're far away from controlling games. Casemiro is obviously liking playing with more freedom but we've equally over indulged and have become over reliant on his passing from the deep midfield position. We're simply not set up to receive easy midfield passes and dictate tempo on our own terms when we're being pressed etc.I actually don’t fully disagree with this. He’s still a great player and has improved us a hell of a lot but I’d like to see him cut out that carelessness in his passing. I don’t know where it’s come from. I don’t remember noticing it when he played for Madrid.
I genuinely think youre an opposition fan with posts like this.
Casemiro is the best DMF in the league. But when the unfair schedule made him play 3 times a week, his age caught up with him. So in this particular game where Case was terrible and Nunez and Gakpo shone, Klopp walked the talk regarding his "signings for the future" rant.Yes mate. A season of Casemiro being brilliant and Nunez and Gakpo being shit is actually undone by one game of the opposite happening.
Statistically it had to happen at some stage. But not at 7-0!This tweet hasn’t aged well…
Hopefully he reshapes his body over the summer; now that he knows the consistent level of intensity required in the PL.Casemiro is the best DMF in the league. And I always rated Nunez and Gakpo. They're brilliant young players who only need time to adapt and built their confidences. There were periods of Rashford being absolutely terrible but I didn't write him off either.
He was limping on Wednesday, can’t help but wonder if he was playing through injury yesterday. He looked off the pace.I don’t know who that was on the pitch yesterday but it wasn’t Casimero. The only explanation I can think of is that the knock he took early massively effected him. But that does beg the question, why was he allowed to continue if he was injured?
A genuine 0/10 disasterclass of a performance.
I think this is what happened. Didnt go all Rambo for a reason. He was limping on Wednesday, can’t help but wonder if he was playing through injury yesterday. He looked off the pace.
