support to buy a privately owned asset? Doesn't he just need the money?

haven't most fan polls favoured his bid anyway, as it stands?
Since when have fan polls actually been representative of the whole fan base?
Proving he is genuinely private and not a state bidder could United the fans around him and his bid.

biggest clue they are selling is "Glazers are not taking dividends"
Nope, guess again. The clubs been run so badly that they couldn't afford to take a dividend if we're to be competitive in the market in the summer without selling too many players to balance the books.

Them deciding to sell is a consequence of killing the goose that was laying golden eggs. They're not refusing to take a dividend because they've decided to sell, believe me, if they could they'd take a dividend on the way out the door while they're emptying their office.

I think the amount of people who give 2 shits about him being private or state backed is minuscule

We all know where the moneys coming from and when comparing it vs ‘Sir Jim‘s bid bring on the oil money all day long

Show us where the funding is coming from. Prove he has the private capital to fund the bid. Explain how he has made his billions.
Maybe, you know, show his face in public or release a video or something.
Even his spokespeople can’t answer basic questions about him. It’s not good enough to just say “I’m private, honest mate - trust me!”
At this stage we don’t even know if there are other rich members of The 92 Foundation. If they have pooled £8 - £9bn into a 92 Foundation bank account then that’s all that Raine and the PL need to know.

You're arguing a point I didn't make. Firstly I asked you "support? to buy a privately owned asset?" then I asked hasn't he been the favourite in most fan polls?

How does that translate to "fan polls = representative of the whole fan base"? I don't think there's anything that could/would/should be classed as representative of the whole fan base, so that's a moot point.

The funding come from his father who is for lack of better word an offshore accounts enthusiast, he isn't going to show you where the funds are because he is keeping the funds away from multiple tax services. He is involved in all the version of Papers that exist, Pandora, Paradise or Panama.

And being private doesn't make him honest, if anything the angle that you should focus on isn't whether he is private or if has the funds because by almost any accounts that predate this takeover, he absolutely has the means. The issue is that he is one of those people that works in underground economies and you never know which organization will be fed up and target him, it could be the FBI, Interpol or anything equivalent.

This is my point. At this point we don’t even know if he is even real! If they have done that, great - tell us about it!

Also should be said that not all Qatari sovereign wealth is with QIA. Not beyond the realms of possibility that the state is funding 92 Foundation quite independently.

Credit to Kaveh on Sky. The way he outlined the clubs finances today and repeatedly emphasised who is responsible for the debt was brilliant. Gained a lot of respect from me.

He’ll have no problem providing proof of funds then.
He must have already provided proof of funds that's why he was invited to make the bid , term you are looking for is source of funds which is entirely separate thing .

The biggest tells here are no dividends being taken again and the credit stream being paid off (100m).

This is very much out of character and points to a full sale in my opinion.

I totally agree it’s like they are trying to squeeze the last pound out of the sale process.

Pedantic semantics, you know what he meant.
It's semantics alright but the thing is people who think it's a state bid aren't changing their minds either way .

No evidence would convince them otherwise its it would simply be brushed aside as spin .

I’m surprised more isn’t being made out of it tbh as it’s an actual fact we can go off.
To be fair only one person thinks that the club won't be sold.

On the contrary- I would love to be convinced that the bid has nothing to do with the state. I would be so so happy. Happy new year.

Cause it is, they will be saying the same stuff as us i'd rather be owned by blah, morals, morals morals.

Put the shoe on the other foot and this was Liverpool we could say anything we want about their owners and how terrible they are, but theres gonna be a good number of people petrified.

Only have to see the quick turnaround since we have been up for sale to see there is a sizeable portion of people that just scream about how they would never join the darkside until the darkside chooses them, then its all good.
Is that the case? Maybe for some but I'd imagine most people currently wanting the qataris in would have said they'd have swapped the Glazers for state ownership at any point in the last decade
