We won't be debt free, how are you just making this stuff up FFS
We have no idea what INEOS being majority owners will look like but I think the Change of Control clause means that the current debt will either have to be cleared or at least restructured and logically it would make more sense for that to be under the INEOS group than under United. I would expect any capital investment for the stadium or the training ground to be financed by loans though (which is fair enough given that's how it's worked for every other club without state ownership and would be debt incurred to actually increase value), it's difficult to know at this stage but that would be my guess given I don't think United could handle further debt on top of the existing debt. All we know is that clearly the Qatari's states commitment to buying United was not as strong as they tried to portray it through their PR guff.

I'm not making anything up, go read what I initially wrote ffs. I said we'll be fine IF we emerge from this debt free. I have no idea if that will happen.
I won’t happen as it’s been repeatedly reported that Brexit Jim won’t add any “new” debt. The £500m we’re currently saddled with will remain.

Expect it to be more of the same if Jim wins. Especially if the 2 cnuts stay on themselves. Depressing news.

Some of you people are wild man. So if SJR wins the Glazers will still be imvolved but it seems like their involvement will be relegated to just owning shares that they can later sell for a bigger profit. Not actually running yhe club in any way. SJR is a better prospect than our current state or minority investment.

Those moaning about Qatar should blame Qatar for not reaching deeper into those unlimited pockets to bid more than INEOS, if Qatar doesn’t win the bid considering their financial clout it’s entirely their fault.

Expect Qatar to buy another PL club soon enough and move us a place lower in the PL. Assuming all this is true, of course.

But hey, at least we won't win anything and have to worry about the taint while Citeh become the biggest club in Manchester over the next 20 years.
If they really were outbid like this then that seems kinda unlikely.

You realise there's plenty of other investors that own part of United too right?

I believe the Glazers own around 69% with the rest owned by investors,
Might be wrong but I don't think I am.

Jim will own 69% and I think the Glazers will hold around 20%

More debt to the club (even if it’s passed to ineos one way or another that’s coming out of our budget) and the Glazers are staying

I hope the riots on Sunday stop the game going ahead again. The club is fecked under that lot

Hopefully they do. With a bit of luck it's Liverpool. They've been exposed as absolute clowns so just imagine what they could do to the Scouse mob.

What if the fans stage massive protests like that Liverpool match in 2021 that got the match cancelled? Even a series of consecutive match cancellation with a clear message: "No more Old Trafford matches as long as the Glazers remain"?

Our club will suffer heavily from that. May be even relegation? But that could be the only one to get rid of the Glazers now. If INEOS deal goes through, we will NEVER be able to be free from the Glazers.

A couple years in the wilderness of Championship might be worth it in the long run if we finally can be free from them. What do people think?

So it's all speculation compared to the promise that Qatar pays the debt.

We've also seen what funding a stadium organically does to a football club with the London bottlejob duo, so don't expect any real success any time soon.

And worst of all, the current proven losers in charge of running the club get to stay. feck this is depressing

So what’s the latest? Is the below about where we’re up to based on the stories?

Qatar offered $5bn-ish for 100% with a kitty “promised” for investment and debt clearing.

INEOS offered $?bn for “a majority ownership”% (some rejigging of the A/B share system) with a “reorganisation of debt” and any new debt to be tied to INEOS not the club?

This is the mentality of the 'Today I feel Qatari' United fans. Absolutely vile horrible plastics who haven't ever stepped foot inside OT no doubt.

I’d take a relegation to get rid of the Glazers.

Literally couldn't give less of a shit if the Glazers still own a stake in the club, as long as they're no longer in control.

It's how debt/investment will be managed that matters if INEOS win out.

No he isn't and this is an internet forum, he had every chance to think that and the rest of his drivel through and elect to not post and he chooses not too.
I always speak my mind. Rat is a despicable man whom I firmly believe will hurt United. If the mods want me out then I'll go.

Transfer expectations went from Mbappe on the left to Paul Mullin from Wrexham.

Ratcliffe doesn't inspire much confidence. Wonder how we're going to get that new stadium/renovations.

We had a good run.

Are you suggesting that Ineos budget would somehow become Uniteds budget?

You are aware they wouldn't be the same? But then some believed that of Qatar owned is, our budget would effectively be their entire sovereign wealth fund...

Funny how some of you here were full on Glazers out but now that Jimmy Brexit has done his best snake impression, it's all acceptable.

I'd have loved to see the reaction the other way round

What promise? Mate, they've been pulling all your legs since the off. Disregard everything they've ever said for the complete and utter crap it clearly was.

"Ratcliffe can never compete with Qatar"

Turns out if you're not full of shit, then you can.
