When it comes to reliability Ferdinand would have better sources around the club to identify and receive information compared to any journalist due to his network. I don't believe anything can be considered concrete until the deal is announced officially. The share price has maintained its peak so to speak so it's clearly more than just speculation and optimism driving that metric.

If we're getting news leaked out to Rio then I'd expect an announcement later today...It won't be a "final" announcement but that a "bid has been accepted and both parties will now go through contractual and regulatory procedures....no further comment etc until all in place.
