Sorry, now I feel like all the characters in Lost when they're all lost, and then the island grows arms and legs and looks around, muttering "Where the feck are we? I'm Lost".
That was the best episode in the series. Still can't believe the Polar bear turned out to be a guy trapped in a Bear suit looking for help.

Considering implementing new innovative highway construction technologies is the road to full blown Nazism.

Hitler immediately started construction of the innovative Autobahn when he took power.

The parallels are obvious when you think about it.
Does banning books work better for you or demonising parts of society for political gain? In any case, anyone protesting in the Glazers' backyard is more likely to get shot by some overeager security guard than make a difference, unfortunately.

So has Hitler made a bid or something? What's his plans for the stadium?

It's alright, I'm from the country.

Maybe you should look a bit closer at the 'book ban' issue.
I won't be discussing this any further in this thread.

I have given up giving a feck at this point, it’s so ridiculous the lack of communication with fans. Why bother telling us you’re going to sell to then just have radio silence for months on end? It does feel like they’re reluctant to sell but I guess selling one of the biggest football clubs on earth takes time, that’s what I keep telling myself. Just given up at this point. Sell us or don’t just make a decision either way and let us know so we can get on with the season ahead. Pricks.

Avram Glazer is probably the most unattractive male on the planet. Here's how imagine his presence: mouth breather, stinky, interrupts you constantly, laughs with all his front teeth visible and chomps on food (noisy eater).

The problem is, they didn't say they were going to sell. Quite the opposite really, their statements sounded like they were seeking investment more than anything, but once bids for the club came in then the whole thing grew arms and legs. Perhaps we've all jumped the gun and this was never what we thought it was.

Nah I think they are definitely looking to sell, playing it coy was part of their strategy to drive the price up. As has every action they've taken over the last 6 months to drag this process out.

Time is one of the most effective tools in negotiations. It’s a game of chicken basically. Glazers are taking a risk that one of the buying parties will increase their offer rather than walk away while the buying parties are taking a risk that the Glazers have no choice but to sell, that their offer is the best and will eventually be accepted when the realities of United’s financial constraints start to hit.

I wonder if the buyers are aware of some sort of deadline in the future where the Glazers would need to have secured a new credit line or such like.

Unless you’re Manchester United, trying to buy a footballer. Or, evidently, trying to sell the club. In both these scenarios the primary outcome seems to be making shite of the subsequent season.

Here's what @rimaldo had to say about them (also likely the most gross thing rimaldo has ever posted)
if the sun’s up, the glazers will be out, sunning their lizard skin.

With the threat of legal action in the background and the general complexity of the deal proposed by Ratcliffe it’s going to take time to work it all through and get a structure that all parties are satisfied with. Could take months or even longer but I think it will happen eventually. Ratcliffe will take overall control of the club and, eventually, the Glazers will be phased out altogether but we will need to be very patient.

It's a long saga and we are all so fed up of it all now. Glazers won't put any money into club for Stadium or training ground and Ratcliffe will put us further in debt. Sooner we get this all sorted the better.

Its a funny old game
Glazers are just messing with Our minds. Their silence shows the utter contempt these people have for the Club, and more importantly, the fans. We were cursed the day that family got it's claws into United.

It's fairly simple. B shares have 10 times the voting power of A shares so you only need 10% of the total shares to be B shares so retain control.

However this is more likely a protective measure. From themselves and people like their dad trying to force a takeover. Say they split and some sell without agreement from the others, it allows them to retain control and acts to discourage a buyer going this route.

All of the terms can be changed by a vote subject to negotiation between the parties involved.
That’s right, however it is even more one-sided than that.

The Glazers currently hold about 68% of B class shares.

They hold onto those shares because when they sell they can give the buyer full control.

Remember, If they sell any B class shares, other than to another member of the Glazer mob, the shares then become A class shares. So it would be possible for there to be more A class shares, than B class shares, in the future if the Glazers started to sell off more shares.

Here if the Glazers sell all their B class shares to , say Sir Jim, then those 68% B class shares convert to A class shares. Sir Jim will have a majority so he would not be troubled in running the club. He would pay the Glazers a premium for handing over that power/control.

Theoretically the Glazers could sell off most of their B class shares which, would then convert to A class shares, but still retain control with only a handful of B class shares, if they still held 10% of all the shares (A and B).

Because of the way the memo and articles are written they would still have 67% of the vote

So if, let’s say Joel, for some reason decides to stay on, he could in theory hold one solitary B class share in addition to holding about 10% A class shares and still be able to control the company. That’s how perverse it seems to read and how skewed in favour of the Glazer mob the set up currently is.

It's a long saga and we are all so fed up of it all now. Glazers won't put any money into club for Stadium or training ground and Ratcliffe will put us further in debt. Sooner we get this all sorted the better.
100%, the Glazers won't put any money into the club.
Every £1 they put in, in theory, increases the value of the club however they give away 31p of that £1 to the A class shareholders.

So unless they see immediate guaranteed bumper profits they will not invest.

They could lend to the club but these guys have never done that and would rather borrow and dump that on the club, but even borrowing will only occur if there is an immediate financial return for them.

When Av and Joel were seeking equity solutions last year it was not for the club, Old Trafford training facilities etc, but only to buy out their siblings.

You lot moan about the media posting nothing stories and no one knowing anything then you act like crack addicts without a fix if it's quiet for a couple of days. You'll know when it happens guys, believe me. They're going to sell because they have no other options at this point.
