I watched the game live on Bein Sports and he did assist the first goal which was headed into his own net by the Botswana player direct from a corner kick.

What’s his performance like?
Tunisian team has every player wanting to carry the ball and dribble from one end to the other end until the ball out of play, based on what I watched previously. Is it still the case?

You're correct the Tunisian team does like to dribble the ball when a pass would be a better option. But the game earlier against Botswana was very one sided for large parts where Botswana defended deep whilst being happy to cede possession to Tunisia. And I thought Hannibal did fine for the 60 minutes he was on. But like you have mentioned, it's not really a enjoyable experience watching Tunisia play because they don't place much emphasis on passing their way through but rather their players do like to dribble their way through which doesn't always seem the best course of action and hence they turn the ball over a lot and moves break down prematurely. And in the game earlier they almost had 70% possession due to Botswana defended deep and rarely threatening the Tunisian back-line.

Really need to integrate the lad this season and see if he's good enough. We already know Scott isn't, even if I don't mind keeping him. We need the likes of Hannibal's aggression and attitude in the squad. No more pussies like Martial and Sancho. On attitude alone Hannibal should be part of the squad, it's an extra bonus that he actually very good on the ball. Teach him proper positional play and how to properly regulate that aggression and you have a very talented squad member.

 absolutely spot on!

I remember that from watching Hannibal play there in various tournaments. They're absolutely allergic to passing the ball - particularly their forward players. Very frustrating to watch

Crazy what can happen when you give young and hungry players a chance instead of relying on the same old underperformers

Well done son! Horrible game to score your first goal, but he'll take it.

Pleased for the kid getting on the scoresheet. Tried his heart out when he got on.

Play him and teach him to channel his energy and improve his positioning. There is a great player in there.

Very disappointed to see ETH plays him top of pitch, rather than deep position. Bruno can’t play deep. But still, he scored a great goal.

Some of us have been championing this kids potential. If given a fair opportunity he will be in our first XI before the end of the season. Ten Hag seems to think he is a forward though.

I've always thought he was a bit overhyped, but regardless, he did well today and surely has earned more playing time in our upcoming matches.

Today it resulted in a goal, but Hannibal would be better off long term playing deeper. He plays far more naturally when distributing the ball.

So yeah I'm disappointed in that too. I wonder if it's due to him playing further forward for the youth team after we changed him from his initial position at Monaco.

Glad he scored today. Hope this would be breakout year for him.

Great goal, happy for him. It will buy him credit at least. He's got a chance in over Scott.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Great to see him get the goal and largely play quite well when he came on.

One thing I did notice was when playing in a more attacking area he seems to move away from the ball most of the time, whereas when I've seen him play deeper he is always moving towards the ball and demanding it. It's interesting how it seemed such a different dynamic. On the one hand I guess you do want to make more runs into space when playing in more attacking positions, but I did find myself thinking he was overdoing it today and wanted him looking to take control a bit more.

We could've probably afford KMJ if the manager trust Mejbri more, instead of paying for Mount.

Would've been interesting to see amrabat kmj and mjebri vs mount and late amrabat. Prob still have like 15 to 20 million left for another purchase

It's definitely a better outcome, in terms of spending priority. Millions of United fans could see it, but sadly the most important person couldn't.

Nice goal, but as someone who didn’t watch him for our youth teams, I still don’t really know what his natural midfield position is.

Great goal and overall performance from him. HIs reaction showed what that goal meant to him. Was persistent throughout and took his opportunity well.

Would love to see him more involved now.

Only one way of forcing your way into the team and that is by taking your chance when you come on, that want he’s done. Great goal and spirited display, hope to see more of him.

His best position was always the #6/#8 hybrid role at Monaco where he dropped deep as the first receiver in possession. But at United he was utilised further forward due to who we already had occupying the deeper midfield positions at the time.

I think with the way the game went it was sensible to introduce him in a more advanced central attacking role. And having watched him for a long time I didn't expect him to shoot from where he scored from, due to him normally looking for the pass instead of shooting. And that is something I always felt he should add to his game because being unselfish has it's merits but sometimes taking a shot on goal after making space for yourself is the best course of action.

I think there's potential there to work with and he has the qualities that could lead to him being a good midfielder for us. And on top of that we still haven't seen Amrabat and Mainoo together yet at the heart of the midfield, which has the potential to raise the level further as far as evading the press and progressing the ball is concerned. It's pretty obvious to me that Amrabat is going to play the connector role with Mainoo also a option for thar role.

With both Amrabat and Mainoo missing we don't have a midfielder who is comfortable at evading the press on the half turn in the first phase of the build up. Both Casemiro and Eriksen are good players but they're players who are comfortable receiving and playing the pass when the game is in-front of them. We're badly missing both Amrabat and Mainoo, who imo have the potential to make a difference in the build up phase. The tactics/strategy was fine but we need better execution against teams who press well in central areas. And if you have players who have the ability to resist evade/pressure centrally then the space will open up and even make the opposition head coach rethink his strategy.

With Brighton the strategy is very simple and it started with Graham Potter in 2019. And he's a head coach who places heavy emphasis on playing the ball out from the back. And Brighton have been coached to keep the ball under pressure in the build up phase for several years. Roberto De Zerbi took over a Brighton team that was already aligned with his vision.

That's why I keep saying that we should give chances to players who fit the profile of a player that will help us evade/resist pressure and get us up the pitch in a more controlled and efficient way. Mctominay and Fred were never those players in possession and hence we didn't progress as a more proactive attacking team. Now ten Hag is trying to get the team to play in a more dominant way but there's a few other issues that have reared their head because some players are unavailable and some players don't fancy doing off the ball work.

Players like Hannibal, Mainoo, Gore and in the future Fitzgerald, Moorhouse and McAllister may not be good enough. But they're players who have aforementioned attributes and could be developed into good players.

He’s a proper talent, a world class midfield talent IMO, although I wonder if he is in the right place at the right time now. This manager thinks he’s a striker.

Give this lad Fred's minutes. He has Fred's energy, something we're missing on the pitch. Hopefully him and Mainoo can establish themselves till the end of the season.

looked like our best midfielder yesterday, really dont think we'd have been any worse starting with him and Dan Gore in the middle. I'd be furious if i was him, seeing Casemiro and Eriksen starting ahead of me.

Not concerned wth the "not his best position" talk, glad to just see him get an opportunity. He should be gettign more from the bench, especially with our current injuries.

He has waht literally 3 first team appearances here or a couple more and has done well in everyone. Him and Mainoo....and we spent £60m on for Mount to play the same position, yet signed no cb, really dont get it
