Very poor on the ball. He has some interesting qualities, but his all round play isn’t PL standard for me, not yet. Terrible passer too.

Biggest positive: He was always in the right areas in the box. Soon we can start using quick crosses.
Negatives: a couple of sloppy passes in key moments will shadow the performance.
Although nowhere near the finished article, he has potential.

Looked a bit like Cavani if Cavani suddenly grew three inches overnight and didn't quite know how to control his body yet.

Looks like poor mans Haaland, but with really shit passing. I think he can improve though, he has lot of potential, IMO. But knowing our history with young players, there's probably small chance it will happen.

The promise is there I think. Was unlucky not to connect with that cross (the fact he’s making the runs and gambling is genuinely something we haven’t had) but for the Rashford header to him I think he scores if he attacks with his head. He definitely wasn’t expecting it but it was a good chance.

He's raw but I like what I've seen so far. If he works on his first touch a bit, he's going to immediately become better.

He will be a weapon once we are a cohesive attacking unit.

That cross from Dalot that he almost got on the end of. If we create even 3-4 of such opportunities every game, he can become a goal a game striker. You can see he has that instinct.

He isnt fit and will be a weapon once we get bit more organised and his fitness level improve.

Suppose if I was kind I'd say he's still growing and learning his body. Alas he's only 19 but a top club doesn't put their goal scoring responsibility onto a child.

Bit of a stinker. His decision not to pass to a free Bruno then fail with his pass to Rashford was infuriating. Think Atlanta might have seen us coming. Still early days though.

Does Harland fall over this often? Supposed to be physical but he hardly ever creates space for himself.

He reminds me of an early-game Pokémon. Very low level, doesn't do an awful lot, but could be fairly useful further down the line if you really, really, really push them and dedicate all your time to them and nobody else.
He’s like dratini

Not a great game. But definitely not the problem.

Available in the right areas. some neat turns and showed pace to stretch their backline.

Really poor performance, his positioning inside the box was pretty bad and finishing doesn't seem to be his forte. He's young so hopefully he'll improve with more games and training.

He is going to be just fine, I know many won't have the patience but he is different to anything we've had for a while

No real signs that he’s going to surprise us, looks every bit the rookie he is on paper, but there’s obvious scope for improvement going forward.

He’s nowhere near match fit and it showed in the last 15/20 mins.
Massive potential who will grow into this season. Felt he played the wrong ball into Rashford rather than Bruno but that’s the only downside for me

Not his best game but still held the ball up well. Once we get a bit of momentum going I think we’ll start to see the best of him. Our attack is very fractured at the moment.

Think it's fine to just admit that he wasn't very good today?
Obviously, just like any player that can have a bad game, especially if they are young and raw, but some seem to suggest he should be taken behind the shed and put down on here after like 3 games

Potential is there but i am not impressed with his current ability. He is complete package without being special in anything.
For a striker he is many times one step late, his passing is not good and he is not offering much in build up phase. His movement and positioning is suspicious too.
He is one for the future but at this moment, ideally he would be 2nd striker.

He's 20 years old boy who suddenly found himself a 70m player asked to carry a whole team that suck in attacking. Blame us and not him.

At the very best he should have been a sub option not a 70m starter.
Pretty much this.

I wasn't expecting much from him this season and to be honest its not even a guarantee for next season. I said when we signed him he was a development project and that's how we need to look at him despite his price.

I said before we signed him that his first touch and linkup play is a weakness. But he's young, and his workrate and in box movement is a positive.

He was crap today but I think that will happen from time to time while he settles in

Him and Sesko are very close in current ability and I hope that’s a rivalry we might see in European football in five years time.

People are miles off if they are expecting him to be good on the ball right now.

Yeah he has a really shit passing. Which is a big worry at this level. You simply can't screw those simple passes at this level.

I've mostly liked what ive seen.
My worry is that we don't have a senior striker to help him

Clearly nothing wrong with his goalscoring instincts but his touch and passing were poor at times.

Hopefully that's down to nerves, getting used to his teammates and a bit of rawness
