Regardless of the fact that most of us knew we were never winning this match, what Ten Hag has demonstrated has just removed all confidence I had in him. Keeping Bruno, Rashford and Mctominay on the field is criminal; you are losing anyway. Bring on the young ones and let them play 30 min at least. Making the same mistake over and over with no clear explanation on why just reeks stupidity. But at the same time; how do we get rid of all these useless players.

Insane decision making today. Could see what he was going for in the first half, but his changes were insane. I worry he doesn't know what he's doing and feels like he doesn't know where the players play when it's fecking obvious to everyone else. Bruno on the right and Mount in the middle? Stupid. Moving McTominay alongside Eriksen? Stupid. Madness. Absolute madness.
You could see the City goals coming the moment he decided to take Amrabat off and put McTominay in deep. He has zero defensive awareness, is useless in the build up, and now further from goal meaning his only useful trait of being a goal threat is nullified...why does this guy still start and play 90 minutes of football at this club when it has been apparent since Mourinho days that he is not good enough? Meanwhile we are shoehorning our most creative players into a situation where he is time after time shown to be least effective.

I've been supporting him a lot, but Ten Hag is getting really hard to defend with so many of these decisions. When you can see issues with the set up the minute the team is announced and those issues turn out to be exactly accurate, it really starts to get worrying.

Obvious that injuries are a problem but the players are so so inferior and technically abject compared to City and his signings haven’t helped. They physicality in the team is appalling and he’s done nothing to rectify that.

Subbing off Rashford at 3-0 down with 5 mins to go is another way to say he doesn’t want to risk him being injured for the next match.

When will he ever drop Bruno and Rahdford and not just picking on easy targets?

From here to there
I'm of the view that sacking him will not fix anything, but I can also see that his position is becoming increasingly difficult to defend

he seems utterly lost and useless, still don't know what tactics or style of play he is trying to implement, I think he'll be gone in the summer.

This match reminds me of when we were losing the same scoreline under ole against city who were cruising on our ground, you knew that day that we had no hope under ole and it feels the same, ten hag tactics in second half have gifted city an easy second half stroll to victory
OGS was cooked by then because we'd lost 5-0 versus Liverpool

Prioritising a ball-playing keeper with a team full of personnel who are uncomfortable receiving possession under pressure was certainly an iterating choice.
True but there was that religious like belief by the CAF experts that a goalkeeper that could pass would turn us in to title challengers.

Our recruitment hasn’t been great, and injuries aside he has been making some really strange choices on the pitch but I just don’t see who you bring in to replace him that would fix this. Think just needs more time to get players he wants in key positions. Midfield needs open heart surgery for example.

His goal to game ratio against City and Liverpool must be the worst in our history, surely?

Absolutely no excuse to lose every game against City with such a big margin, even when City are in pretty average form. What's worse is that we haven't created anything too. And you know we will lose against Liverpool by few goals too with the way we play under him.

It was obvious. Awful selection and awful subs.

Evans and Maguire CB with Amrabat, McT and Eriksen midfield whilst Bruno is on the right

dreadful

Exactly what I was going to say… feels like a lame horse needing to be put out of its misery!

This season has been worse than the one that got Ole sacked for me. At least then we had a bit of magic from Ronaldo. A plan needs to be put in place to sack the manager.

Was very happy with his efforts last year but there’s no denying that we have been shocking this season and he doesn’t really seem to be able to fix us let alone make the progress we need. Really depressing time to be a United supporter - seems like nothing we do ever works.

Part of me thinks we should just go with the long long road next time - build the team on youth, cap transfers fee to 50m etc

Echoing what’s already been said. His decision making today has been dreadful. To take off Amrabat at 1-0 when we were still in this and completely opened our midfield up for them to juggle our testicles around with was an incredibly inept move.

Keeping Bruno and Rashford (for as long as he did) is another brainless decision which shows player power still exists.

I’m not ETH out, but he’s running out of time before the players drop tools for good - once that happens it’s only inevitable till the sacking happens.

Erik's behaviour is very much like Ole, he knows his days are written. He is just waiting to be sack, mid table.club with high wages bill, blood sucking owners, lousy manager. No other manager will come close to this club.

He's injured apparently according to the commentators.

I've lost faith in him today. He's made some truly bizarre decisions this season on the pitch and during the transfer windows. We look more disjointed this season than we ever did last season.
The fact that we are even talking about him and anything to do with the transfer window and its been 12 years since Fergie retired...why the hell are we still letting our managers prioritize our transfer business?

Making Mount the major priority signing and giving him number 7 was the beginning of the end. how can anyone be that blind and delusional?

What a terribly short memory.
Not saying this isn't shite, but the Ole ball at its worst was the worst I've ever seen in my life.

I agree. The manager lost me after that Liverpool game and our form end of thr season was awful. This season just further proves what I knew about ETH.

And the Mount transfer was the cherry on top

Solskjaer was better. Made better signings, brought through youth, and got rid of some utter deadwood. Ten Hag has spent hundreds of millions to get us into a place where we are worse than Brighton.

After 400M and 2 years, we have not improve at all from Ole's time. Meanwhile, Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs are doing better than us.

Feck sacking him.

He should do the honorable thing and walk and rip every player a new one on his way out.

Giving Bruno the armband is yet another poor show of judgment from this guy.
