I think people are either incredibly optimistic and hopeful or entirely delusional if they think adding Ratcliffe and Brailsford to a board consisting of the Glazers is going to change anything at this club. The club is rotten and broken. Adding additional layers of incompetence isn't going to solve this mess. Isn't going to show ambition to everyone that works at and within the club. Isn't going to change the direction in any way.

The only way this improves is a new clean slate at board level with people who are ambitious and show that intent on a daily basis with a focus on returning this treasured club back to a football club and a world renowned institution. Set the standards every day towards improvement at no expense. The club is glum, gloomy and depressed and tired. Minority investment does nothing to change that - full sale with new owners changes that and this fanbase has spent way too long bickering over who their favourite bidder is they've lost focus on the one real objective in getting rid of the Glazers. Too many people accepting this situation in hope and optimism when they know full well nothing will change. If there was more pushback against Ratcliffe and his 50.1% offer and now his 25% offer instead of cheering that he won then he may just as well have told the Glazers full sale or nothing 'cos this bunch hates you and I'm not partnering with a toxic asset. Who are we fans of ultimately? INEOS or Man Utd?

I can't believe all rival fans are chanting Old Trafford is falling down and Glazers staying 10 more years. We did this. We didn't manage the one opportunity we had to rid us of those parasites. Rant over. Sorry, but I'm exasperated at the state of this club I've had the pleasure and privilege to follow and support for nearly 40 years. Criminal what's happened to this club.

At what point do we decide to check out from all of this nonsense on the grounds of looking after one's mental health.
I did that a few years ago because the stress was making my illnesses worse. Came back when I heard about the possible sale and I'm more annoyed at the state of this "review" than anything that happens on the pitch as I know we won't be back as long as the cnuts are here.

Bidding through his giant petrochemical company INEOS, who already boast multiple sporting enterprises - such as owning French club Nice and being the principal sponsor of F1 team Mercedes - Ratcliffe hopes to make key changes at Old Trafford should he win the race. However, he won't rename Old Trafford for the sake of extra revenue.

"I hadn't thought of that, but no," the Manchester-born billionaire, recently named as the UK's second richest person, is quoted as saying. "That would be heresy. I would not change it. It's always Old Trafford."
Too fecking right. I would want minimum 100 million a year to put your company name on sacred ground.

The bastards will be the death of me. Wish Malcolm’s Dad had fecking withdrawn when he was porking Mrs Glazer, the dirty goblin cnut. Six (6) times she shagged that ugly feck!
We are the nest egg for an ugly family from Florida that made their fortune on strip malls and trailer parks. If they aren't removed by the end of this decade Manchester United will become the college fund for a dozen ugly little cnuts.

I feel a sense of that aw well. I do not think that supports groups, particularly M.U.S.T, were not proactive enough. I keep getting emails from them and they recently sent one stating "how to not sell a club." It is all after the event and not during. I feel I have wasted my money purchasing a membership from them.

Its the state of desperation of the United fans. Water-boarded for so long that they will hope for anything, regardless of how realistic or not it is. The more desperate we are the more unrealistic the expectations of the new change become.

The new 25% minority shareholder is to come in and wave the magic wand... and things will be good again. Really grasping at straws.

Sad and humiliating at the same time.

If we should have learnt one thing in the past few months; we had an almost unanimous welcoming of ETH only a year ago. That should teach us a thing or two about the realities of the PL and managing a club.

There are no silver bullets.

All my optimism disappeared the moment SJ withdrew.
That was our one chance of a clean break from these vampires. The chance for a complete reset.
Now we are stuck with them.

I get your opinion and it will be spot on for some parts of the fan base. That said, I think most fans are hungry for a new process under new leadership and do acknowledge that it will take time.

The worst part now for me is going in circles. Sir Jim and Ineos in will be the start of breaking that circle, even though it will not magically fix everything over night.

So obviously I want to see the bid successful asap.

Clear & obvious changes above the football management levels take much longer to see or manifest

This is where the Government should step in and make certain stadia listed buildings which can be modified, updated but must never change name and location. They should have done the right thing and made the Glazers sell the club too by making it imperative that any owner of any PL club he present for at least 50% of home games played, that would have f….the Glazers little nest egg.

OT's old traditional design I suspect won't be in line with what Mercedes' brand would like to project. Look at the stadiums they have paid for the naming rights; they are all shiny, high-tech stadiums.
What’s to stop them building a new shiny stadium called The Mercedes Arena at Old Trafford park and turn the current stadium into ladies team wasn’t this looked at in the proposals ?

To be honest I feel like taking a break from other threads. Only thing that matters is the sale of the club.

Would be nice to take a break from watching us play as well. Not going to happen though.
The club is not being sold, INEOS are buying a 25% minority stake.

You just know if they made that 50% requirement a thing, we'd just end up with a multi-million bill for flying Joel and/or Avram over each matchday .

They won't care same as the last 12 months

But ultimately there is not much the fans can do to get the owners out - boycotts, games getting cancelled regularly etc are not going to happen regardless of what MUST or any other group do. The most they can push for is protests to make it clear the fans want change and that's been going on for years anyway.

We are now at the mercy of billionaires and this all gets decided in the boardroom, just hope we get competent decision makers to shake up the structure rather than the incompetent ones we have had for the last decade.

It's difficult for the pro-Qatar posters to accept defeat, but there is no point blaming supporters for decisions they didn't make.

They're the only reason United have anything left.

It would be great if these 'concerned' supporters encouraging mass arrests and alluding to violence until we 'get our club back' would apply themselves to more worthy causes than United signing Mbappe.

The sheer entitlement is palpable.

Who mentioned Mbappe or alluded to violence? There is nothing 'pro-Qatar' in the post above either

Don't make things up - your agenda is very boring by now

I'd like to think that the Glazers staying is because they really want to see us winning titles again and being an amazing team but then I woke up, they are here for nothing else other than financial reasons and self enrichment.

Twitter rumor saying he wants to be in by next week? Would be nice but have my doubts. Hopefully, not too late to somewhat save our season, though I do think we'd benefit from a year out of Europe completely to reset.

So basically by Monday they can officially sack ETH.

Get Conte until the summer. If we are going to stink out the place. Let’s do it well and get top 4.

Were winning the Tour de France, you'll never sing that.

Things really are bad when they bring the international break PR forward.
Director of physical/psych fitness (and grey-area 'nutrition') maybe. I'd rather have Mitchell as SD, for all the questions raised around his own capabilities in relation to the 'hype'...

No more former Chelsea staff.

In fact I don't want anyone who has even been to London

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I'm all for Ratcliffe coming in, but people thinking he will suddenly turn things around are really naive. How exactly will he do that, unless he replaced the manager with somebody that was a success? Hiring a DoF will bring results eventually, but not instantly. There's a long way to go to the January window and he will then have the task of convincing clubs to sell.

You’ve been bleating on about a having a DOF for years. I particularly like how your suggestion for a manager is one who has a very rigid system which is exactly the opposite system to what we actually have the players for. I’d hope any DOF you would choose for the role wouldn’t make such a glaringly obvious mistake.
