He needs to find a balance, otherwise he'll be sacked, and I personally don't want that to happen because I do see what he's trying to do, but feck me, we're so easy to play against.

Maybe just go back to a 4231 that he played at Ajax, with De Jong and Schone as the pivot.

Hojlund
Garnacho Bruno Antony
Mainoo Amrabat
Dalot Shaw Maguire Wan-Bissaka
Onana
Shaw at cb experiment needs to stop, we're choosing Reguilon over Varane it's ridiculous.

Casemiro carried him in his first 6 months here, his decision making is dreadful. Has to go at this point.
This. I would include the new defender bounce that Licha brought to our backline as well, pre-WC anyways. Even Dalot looked like a beast.

Literally anybody who puts Amrabat next to Mainoo and tries to actually control the game, instead of leaving midfield a wide open free for all and hoping the opposition miss several sitters per game.

Some of the players are cnuts as well, but sticking with this system is insanity.
That hypothetical manager would never go after Serie A plodders like Amrabat anyway.

He needs time guys!
I refuse to give him time. I think he was given too much time in fact. If he is trying to develop youngsters and in doing so losing games that I am fine. He should hang his head is shame and resigned from United. McTominay does nothing accept score a couple goals, Dalot cannot cross to save his life. Shaw is as lazy as feck for thr 2nd score. Antony is Antony, contributed nothing. Martial???? What is he doing on the field?

This ownership excuse is so moronic. As if any major company just stops working because they are getting new owners. That would be stupid.

Signing Mason Mount instead of a proper midfielder was a sackable offence on its own. Even someone like Ward-Prowse would have improved our midfield.
Mount would have been a great signing if this system wasn't complete suicide. Unfortunately, it is.

He needs to eat humble pie and change to something more solid or he's gone. Though with the two coming games, there's every chance he's gone anyway.

He should just walk away after this game and save some pride. He’s forever being let down by useless players

He's an absolute moron for persisting with McTominay in midfield. I think I would rather have lost to Brentford than McTominay scoring that brace at this point. Additionally, he chooses to play without a decent leftback because of his weird Dutch ideas about center backs. His obsession with center backs really doesn't make sense given how little control we ever have of games. Clearly it's better to take advantage of Shaw going forward than sacrificing that for essentially nothing in the buildup.

Drop McTominay, play Mainoo, and play Shaw at leftback. Oh, and drop Martial for good. These are not world-shattering ideas.

He is going to stubbornly die on his hill of lousy unrealistic tactics. Unfortunately so will United's season.

He does a lot of weird little things that I can let go but this whole one man midfield experiment is insanity. Everyone can see it's not working yet he keeps doing it over and over without any hint of trying to change it. Mainoo gets one game at Everton and then back to the same old same old. It's been said a million times now but we're just back to the Fellaini days, the harm Mctominay does to our game is far worse than the goals he scores.

This isn't even a criticism on Mctominay either, if this is the hill ETH wants to die on at least get someone else in midfield so we don't get cut open constantly every single game.

We can't say a result like that hasn't been coming. The league table flatters us. Shocking.

He's hardly been embedded in the club for that long either, when results are shit and a manager's time is clearly up there's only so much worse things can really be under a caretaker boss.

And would have cost what? £30mil?

So think had we saved the Mount money & not bought Hojlund, who for all his talents was blatantly signed injured! We’d have had another what £90mil to replace that midfield.

Now think had we not bought Antony & Amrabat that’s £200mil.

Everyone raved about McTominay & Amrabat after mid week’s game. If they’d been left out today he’d have been criticised as well.
If he had left out Mctom, few would have crticized him because we are all aware of the problems Mctominay's presence in the team creates when we lose the ball. He just did what all spineless managers do when under pressure. They stumble on a team that wins one lucky game and refuse to change that team ever again thinking they can ride out the pressure. Ten Hag stopped using any form of football brain when Mctom bailed us out against Brentford. Have you noticed that the team has barely changed since then? Barring injuries.

The Ten Hag you see now is anything but a top level footballing coach. He's just a spineless man trying to look out for himself because he's all out of ideas.

Don't taze me, bro
I have no idea how someone watches that performance and thinks the issue is coaching. So much great play but the amount of times our quality let us down on the last pass or touch in obvious goal-scoring situations is shocking.

Our issue has been and continues to be player quality and recruitment, which should never be solely entrusted to ANY manager. So I have a hard time faulting him for that - it’s much more a function of our club structure and back-office quality.

I really think people are inferring the wrong causation here. So long as these are our players, we will always be a team fighting at the fringes for CL qualification at best.

Ten Hag clueless Martial has been throwing managers under the bus for the best part of ten years, what does he do play him from the start. Daft feck
Same could be said for McT, Shaw and Bruno. All three give up and have 2/10 type performances regularly, especially at tail end of managers reigns. These wasters ALL need to leave the club. Dalot too. Literally an entire new squad needed unfortunately

These players are throwing him right under the bus. I wanna see most these players leave before I see him sacked but that won’t happen. Yet another manager, rinse and repeat the cycle. Will get a nice little new manager bounce though. Yay.
Funny, how these same players weren't throwing him under the bus on Wednesday, right? Why can some of you just can't except that he's just not that good. Same shit as with Ole.

Somewhere in your mind, touching a nerve
At this point he’s completely shit. I mean two seasons in and I still have no idea what our set up is. We can’t string a proper chance together. Our strikers do not get any service. Our midfield is wide open. Our goalkeeper is a clown.

Im sorry but he has to go, I know the majority of our squad isn’t good enough but he’s brought a fair few of them and he hasn’t instilled any playing philosophy and are clearly going backwards. This wouldn’t be allowed at any other top club in the world.

Nonsense. They go game after game playing in that awful 0 midfield formation and actually have won enough matches to keep his head just above water.

Open in midfield. Every. Single. Game.

In honesty, there are more worrying things.

A team is a reflection of its manager. This soft core of ours, this lack of fighting spirit and constantly giving in at crux moments - there comes a point you have to say it's a reflection of his own mentality.

Another worrying sign is relying on players for the short term. McTominay, Evans even Maguire. Yes I understand they're in great form but players like McT starting week in week out for you is going to lead to serious issues controlling the game. Why does he play players that are contradictory to the game he wants to play?

I’d imagine he’ll stay on simply because the owners won’t want their new manager to suffer two loses in his first two games.

Man i hate this spineless bunch of players, and id love to stick by EtH, but i cannot believe there isn't a manager out there who wouldnt get more out of this team than him.
That’s why we need one that wouldn’t pick or sign these players like he has

Probably someone who watches us play entire football matches with a giant gap between the back line and the forwards. No patterns of play except between Onana and Maguire knocking it about before lumping a long ball up.

How you can watch us this season and NOT think it's mostly shit coaching.........

We've never been this bad without the ball in our own half. Never this shit defensively. Never this naive and clueless.

We did it seconds after a FA Cup win so this should be an easy decision.
Yeah, I was being sarcastic but I also think Ed sacked Van Gaal mostly because Mou was available. It's like it didn't matter what Pellegrini would win, once City had Pep in sights, Pellegrini's head was on chopping board. Ed Woodward thought Mou was going to be as good for us as Pep for City

We are not even getting new owners. It’s more akin to a head of division being replaced.

He signed a lot of the absolute worst shite in this current squad. You should follow him to his next club in the Dutch fourth tier where he belongs. I'm sure you'll have a grand old time watching his thrilling brand of football.

Sadly, he has to go now.

I really like him and everything he says about commitment, principles etc and I think he dragged our bunch of primadonnas to a cup, cup final and third last year but this season has been too bad and he's reneged on his own values.

It's all well and good talking about having to have certain levels in training and demanding all this running but he's playing habitual let downs like Martial alongside players who have proven time and time again that they are not good enough like McTominay, whilst weirdly freezing out other players.

If he were being super principled and said 'I'm not playing the players who aren't good enough or committed enough' then I'd be willing to see him guide us through the storm but he seems to have backed out of all that and now we're just back into the dredge and misery of Rangnick.

Came into this season with lots of optimism but now I don't even enjoy watching our club anymore, it's an ordeal every time seeing unlikeable characters - Bruno, Antony, Martial etc churn out shite football and not even care.
