Er, Henrys become rather rubbish now.
Not really. Pretty much a 1 in 2 goalscoring record for Barca in all competitions last season which is good for an injury hit season.Er, Henrys become rather rubbish now.
Some of those came in really pointless games. Overall he was nowhere near how good Berbatov has been for Spurs. Obviously Henry of a few years back is a different deal altogether. Not really. Of course he wasn't, because he couldn't get a run of games due to injuries. He also played in a completely different position to where he was used to playing. As well as the fact that he had to settle in a completely different country away from his ex-wife.Some of those came in really pointless games. If Henry had came to us last season I think I would have started supporting the dippers.
Just finished reading it. I'm happy with my opinions within the thread so I don't have to hide anything.
KingEric7, I still think you're a cnut. :P
KingEric is one of the best posters here, both of you are cnuts. That makes two of us.
I see what you did there. It takes all sorts
I see what you did there.
And would still fit this team brilliantly.Hello, Glaston.
Would you like to recant, or do you think Berba will come good?
Henry's doing very well for Barca this season...
No, he hasn't.Er, Henrys become rather rubbish now.
With the way he plays the game, Henry can go on to 35 and still be as effective as Berbatov. If Henry was 27 then it'd be him every time.
Assists? With the way he plays the game, Henry can go on to 35 and still be as effective as Berbatov.
The one thing Berbatov is supposed to have over him is assists, but Henry delivers just as much, if not more in that department as well.
I still think this is a non-contest.
Never as much as Berbatov has been for us though, Henry is still better than almost every other striker like him in the build up, but he isn't as good as Berbatov.Henry used to be heavily involved in the build up for Arsenal. He plays a different role now, thats all. He wouldnt be on the left wing for us, he'd be through the middle.
Don't be silly. Henry's game has always about his incredible pace. He's still quicker than most but when his pace does desert him, in another year or two, he'll be a shadow of his former self. With the way he plays the game, Henry can go on to 35 and still be as effective as Berbatov.

No, you're absolutely wrong on this.Don't be silly. Henry's game has always about his incredible pace. He's still quicker than most but when his pace does desert him, in another year or two, he'll be a shadow of his former self.

Glaston, this place is worse off without you.
Oh dear.Villa not better than Berbatov
Eto'o not better than Berbatov
Ibrahimovic not better than Berbatov
Oh dear.
You're right, but only because Berbatov has been playing in attacking midfield. Which many believe has been to the detrement of his success in a United shirt so far. Playing so deep and being almost entirely focused on moving the ball about well, instead of getting into the box and putting the ball of the back of the net. I'm not sure there's ever been a "striker" who played so deep game after game. Heck, if it was the first time you'd ever saw him you'd swear blind he was a midfielder. The only other player I've seen play from similar positions is Gudjohnsen at Barcelona when hes used in midfield.Never as much as Berbatov has been for us though, Henry is still better than almost every other striker like him in the build up, but he isn't as good as Berbatov.
He isn't good in the air and although he is good at holding the ball up Berbatov's a class above.
Obviously he brings other things to the table and so would still suit this team brilliantly.

Agree that Berbatov is miles better in the air than Henry and when on form, better at holding up the ball. We still need to work out how to use both though...

You mean the guy who poached a lot of important goals last season, even against big teams from inside the box?WTF?
Small bloke? Scar on his neck? Nickname is Apache?
Like Berbatov done a number of times this season against West Brom, Celtic and Aalborg? You mean the guy who poached a lot of important goals last season, even against big teams from inside the box?
Don't forget, Brwned, you're talking to Mcfeckwit. Logic and common sense don't apply.Like Berbatov done a number of times this season against West Brom, Celtic and Aalborg?
Tevez spends as much time outside the box as Berbatov.
Nah, I'm always willing to give it a go with Ekeke.Don't forget, Brwned, you're talking to Mcfeckwit. Logic and common sense don't apply.
Probably best to give up now and save yourself feeling so frustrated you want to smash your head through your own PC monitor, in about 10 minutes time. That's what I'm gonna do anyways.
When did Aalborg and West Brom become big teams?Like Berbatov done a number of times this season against West Brom, Celtic and Aalborg?
Tevez spends as much time outside the box as Berbatov.
Do they have to be when you're making a point, a criticism actually, about getting in the box too little, when a player that you constantly talk up does the same thing? When did Aalborg, Celtic and West Brom become big teams?
What does the size of the team you're up against have to do with the position a striker scores his goals from? When did Aalborg, Celtic and West Brom become big teams?
I made the point that he did it even in the big games and poached goals from doing it. Something Berbatov hasnt, yet. Also edited my post ^Do they have to be when you're making a point about getting in the box?
Does Tevez spend more time in the box than Berbatov?
Tevez scored 5 goals in 15 appearances last season. When did Aalborg and West Brom become big teams?
I can still recall Tevez spending far more time in the box last season than Berbatov has. And I hope thats true because spending a decent amount of time in the box and managing only 2 goals so far this premiership season sounds incredibly worrying. More likely, he's just not in there enough rather than being completely ineffective in there.
Pointless edit.I made the point that he did it even in the big games and poached goals from doing it. Something Berbatov hasnt, yet. Also edited my post ^
Just be abusive.Tevez scored 5 goals in 15 appearances last season.
Berbatov's scored 6 in 15 this season.
Doesn't reflect well on your idea that either 'he's completely ineffective in the box or he just spends less time outside of it', now does it?
Just be abusive.
It's the only way, believe me. Save yourself some typing too.
