Considering most of our play comes down the right surely Jose notice Valencia gets the ball runs as far as he can then turns back and passes inside. We desperately need a established RB aswell this summer.

Come on here to see how the game is going, make your mind up Redcafe!
Considering how crap everyone else is, Sanchez has done as much as possible and could have scored a belter if not for a good save by the Huddersfield GK.

We just wasted that 45 mins.

How unintelligent are these players. Huddersfield kept a high line to defend about 3 set pieces and we couldn’t take advantage despite the fact that Huddersfield didn’t drop deep as the freekick was played.....

Mata, McTominay, Valencia, Lukaku & Lingard have all been useless. I expected more from Man Utd players especially on an occasion like today. This is so unacceptable - Mata can’t beat a man and yet Jose decides to play him. It’s almost like a sabotage.

Pogba on to start the second and if Lukaku is still looking lost after 60mins then get Martial on.

Missed the first 30, how was it? From the 15minutes I've seen we look energetic but clueless. It's hard to think of a way to break down these teams with such a poor no.9.

We really do create the square root of feck all, wouldn't mind seeing Martial on for Lukaku.

I love how the referee has managed to book more
United players than Huddersfield players

My fav moment of first half: Smalling's defense against depoitre at around 44'. And billing or sumbody from their team wiping out Mctominay. Schooling our rich folks how to play physically.

Mata has played the best pass of the half. Lingards movement has been really really good.. Better than anyone else on the pitch.
Sanchez needs to stop dropping this deep and be available around the box. Lukaku is up there alone and its not helping anyone.

We'll be fine. Revising the 5-0 prediction to a 3-0..

Changes needed to be made after the Spurs performance. The team needs to step up and grind out a win, we've forgotten how to win ugly it seems
Changes need to be made in a positive sense. Why pogba and Martial alone, why not lukaku, why not Matic. This whole thing was going to fall on his face. Hope his ego is not big enough to cost us this match. I have defended Jose enough but not today.

How's dropping Pogba and Martial going? Exactly how I thought. The space is in the wider areas as Huddersfield are sitting so deep but Alexis, Mata and Lingard are all coming inside. Very nice of Jose to deprive the team of all penetration in the final third. 0-0 draw incoming.

What! Are we watching the same game? The front trio is doing well.. Nice passes and thru balls. Lovely. An impending goal for sure. Sánchez should play to the whistle though.. Lukaku is doing his targetman job decently too.

We've dominated the ball yet made the gk make one save.....and I can't remember any more shots.....the players need to buck their ideas up.

Dear Lord, just saw that challenge on McTominay. Referee has to be investigated because there has never been a clearer pen and red card to me all season long

Very measured albeit uninspiring performance so far. United score and they almost certainly win. Huddesfield are one of the worst PL sides I’ve ever seen come here.

We are crying out for width and have absolutely no-one who wants to make the wide areas their own. The middle of the field is packed, neither full back is attacking their flank with any frequency or convinction, and all the attacking players are converging in the middle. Pogba on, Mata off. 4-3-3 with Pogba attacking wide from left midfield.

Indeed. Though I suppose it's our fault for expecting anything else from the match thread given they tend to be relentlessly negative.
Agreed, wasnt too bad I thought. Annoyed the ref has let them kick lumps out of us, but booked our players anytime we have looked like making a tackle. Goal should come if we keep the pressure on them.

Lukaku is well not quality enough. He is just not good enough, we need a more mobile forward, it was our bad luck that the only strikers available were Morata and Lukaku.
Penalty decision was amazing, how he does not give it is beyond me. Smalling missed and easy chance as well. Sanchez is asking players to move ball quicker and only one who is trying something. The difference between his thinking and ours is huge, he is clearly two level above anyone on the pitch mentally and Technically.

Anyone have a video of the Sanchez “dive” in the box. I actually think he gets his left foot stomped on, but need to see it again.

Lukaku hasn't done much. Mata, Sanchez and lingard by far the best out there. Matic has really declined since his bright start, just looks slow. Mctominay isn't anything special as a player but is doing alright. Shaw and Valencia playing too defensively.

We need more width and directness out there. Also way more from our striker. Sadly no chance of lukaku coming off. Either martial or rashford need to come on. Probably pogba too.
What has Mctominay done that Matic hasnt done? Point is both haven't done anything useful. But Mctominay has been alright? You are just giving him a pass cuz he is a youngster from the academy.

I think there is no way Jose should be playing that team even in the FA Cup. Juan Mata is the most spineless player I have seen play for United .

We should be out there to prove a point after the lost to Spurs and Huddersfield beat us last time we played so the team should be itching to smash these shitcnuts 5-0.

This formation really does grit my shit. Matic and McTominay sitting pretty deep in a game we are pressing consistently. Complete waste. Need to put three in midfield and play with Alexis and Lingard further towards the wings.
