Fair play to Monk as well actually as Dixon says changing the system to get 2 up front. I always feel with Blind at CB if a team plays 2 up top against us we'll struggle. The thing is - and a lot of teams do it now because of how prevalent it is to only play 1 man up front, teams play 1 defender (Smalling) and one ball player (Blind). When there is 1 up top, the defender takes charge and goes in to make the aerial challenge - leaving the ball player as a spare man. You stick 2 up top and the real defender is now occupied and the non-defender (Blind) has to be a real center half. Of course, the problem is you have to sacrifice something for it - Swansea have sacrificed width for it. I think Liverpool might do likewise against us given how poor their system is (if Rodgers is half as intelligent as he thinks he is), and go with a 4-3-1-2.
That was a terribly soft goal btw....
