I imagine he's utterly shagged. And that means he kicks the ball out of play right with little pressure right?

The early goal you cant say that. There would be an extra player more inclined to sit back so maybe Eriksen is not running free. In any case the comment is not about the goals. Its about our overall performance / composure / control on the match and our ability to be on the front foot. They have been cutting through us at times. An extra man in midfield wouldn't have stopped that freak early goal or that Jones own goal. The latter was down to Young's positioning and Jones' genius decision to lace the ball with his foot closest to facing the goal.
Me too. To think, Sir Bobby once compared him to Duncan Edwards.I get more and more pissed off at Jones the more i see that replay. Unforgivable defending, why isn’t he clearing that with his left if he is so pathetically inept at knocking the ball out on his right.
You'd probably get away with it if Eriksen was still out, but as soon as we saw he'd returned to training the manager should have binned the idea of Matic-Pogba. Not that it ever looks particularly good. It's annoying, I saw a lot of caftards being happy about the lineup but I sure wasn't. I felt nervous cause it was too open on paper. Really annoyed to have gotten the confirmation
Ah, those were the days!Don't worry lads, we'll score 5 in the second half
Who?We saw against Arsenal that Matic + Pogba was incredibly risky but here we go again anway..
Nah Spurs have been massively the better side. They probably deserve to be 2 goals up.I dont think its pure fluke.
THe first goal - they actually came up with that plan. If you look closely , you can see 4 or 5 of their players ready to pounce and Kane running straight to Jones.
MOre than their goals, the issue is we were not able to react at all!
Hopefully, we can change that in second half and give them a hard game.
de Bruyne has a midfield 3 around him at all times. If Pogba 'closes down like a man possessed' with just Matic next to him we would struggle considerably more, don't you think?Fecking KDB closes down like a man possessed in every city game all the while having the highest assists in the league and smashing in goals too.
Pogba on the other hand having a jog in sunday league.
If this was the city team you could see them upping the intensity and on the contrary we have downed our tools and are now simply lumping it ahead.
Done and dusted this match
Not watching on BT, whats this all about?Did you just see the $an£h€z shit that was on BT just now. How hurt are these grown men about an adult footballer choosing one of the biggest clubs in the world over a shitpot showering in feckloads of dirty arab oil money?
What seriously?Jones has got a black eye. Mourinho punched him in the locker room
He’s the one that mistimed the header for the first goal and blasted it into his own net for the second. What a ridiculous post. If you think Phil Jones is all that is wrong with that then you’re absolutely clueless
Play Pogba instead of Lingard and play Herrera. This way if Eriksen plays you have 3 man midfield and if not give Pobga more freedom to attackYou'd probably get away with it if Eriksen was still out, but as soon as we saw he'd returned to training the manager should have binned the idea of Matic-Pogba. Not that it ever looks particularly good.
Just saw this as well.Jones has got a black eye. Mourinho punched him in the locker room
Carrick had Scholes with him who rarely lost the ball and was disciplined by then.Carrick worked when we had Rio and Vidic in defense and Ronaldo/Rooney up front.
Matic can't work with these clowns. He's slow, he's easily bypassed and his midfield partner is a headless chicken.
I think we were second best all over the park, apart from a short while just after the first goal when we reacted well and got it up the field quickly. It wasn't that bad. The second unfortunate goal killed our spirit, at 1-0 we were the best team.
9 assists or not this season, I expected a lot more from him. It may be that Mourinho is playing him too deep, but still, in the position he's being played most weeks, he generally disappoints and looks a shadow of the player I admired so much at Juve.Yep, just ignore all the assists and the positives, and that is all he does. Yep.
what ?Who?
