  1. De Gea vs. Peter and Edwin

This. De Gea is truly incredible, but Schmeichel was so utterly dominant it was difficult to believe a goalkeeper could be that influential. Dave will need a couple more seasons of this, and possibly be more commanding of his area, before he scales the great Dane's heights.
  2. Manchester United Summer Transfer Window 2015: What do we still need?

Not as many, no. Having possibly the best defender in the league in your team tends to give you an extra dimension. Also, how many cliches are there about the league being won on the basis of clean sheets...
  3. Manchester United Summer Transfer Window 2015: What do we still need?

Tell that to Sir Alex and Rio Ferdinand...
  4. Chris Smalling | 2014/15 Performances

His passing and close control with the ball at his feet have really come on this season.
  5. Rafael?!

It's that fire we've been missing now for ages. We've got no cojones in the team since they lynched Rooney. Rojo's a bit dirty, but Rafael's drive is infectious. We need him back.
  6. Nani | Contract & Transfer talk

Put a set of shins in the bottom corner and he'd hit double digits easily...
  7. Rafael?!

Where is he?! He's supposed to be fit, but isn't even getting bench minutes. And he's so, so much better than Valencia at RB it's not even funny. This is footballer that can dominate a flank offensively and defensively, and he's not getting a look-in against Antonio Valencia.
  8. Nani | Contract & Transfer talk

Amen. At least Nani can never be accused of hiding under a rock. When shit gets tough, he wants the ball, for better or worse...
  9. Nani | Contract & Transfer talk

I'm not sure I understand your response. My point is Di Maria's just as inconsistent as Nani ever was, and Nani was putting up the numbers for fun when given a run. So basically, yes, I'd have Nani in my team every day of the week. I'd take his combination of quality and frustration over the...
  10. So what is the actual issue then?

    Rafael's injured?
  11. Bye bye top 4

Yeah, I think when it comes to crunch time, our combination of players and manager will come up good for top 4. Lots of dicking about at the moment with formations and personnel, but I'm still not worried for some reason. The football's been quite shit though, which isn't ideal when you're a fan...
  12. Nani | Contract & Transfer talk

Which is funny, since we just paid 60million pounds for someone who should be just that. Jury's still out, but it's odd that Di Maria isn't held to the same standards that Nani was on here...
  13. Rafael da Silva | 2014/15 Performances

If he somehow finds himself back in the first team he'll transform our season. A fit Rafael is so far ahead of our other options it's ridiculous. People forget how he can dominate a flank much the way Evra did in his pomp...
  14. Nani | Contract & Transfer talk

Work rate has never been an issue with Nani. Confidence and staying injury free have been his problems...
  15. Van Gaal (United) vs Koeman (Southampton)

It's Van Gaal's CV that's gotten him the job. The scrutiny on him isn't as intense because his teams have a history of starting slowly and then succeeding, so people aren't as quick to judge initial results.
