Will be a bit selfish and say that I really hope he gets to play a lot till the end of season as we hopefully gain some momentum and build some chemistry as a team. No excuses for Eric to play shit football. Most of his key players are back, except for Shaw but with a AWB masterclass at LB, I think we are nearly complete to show whether he needs to be replaced as a manager or not.

He's so good. People kind of forgot about him because of the long injury and then the first game back he showed his class. Onana, Dalot, Martinez, Varane, Casemiro, Mainoo is already getting there in terms of build up. Excited to see this at some point this season

Onana, Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Mainoo, Bruno, Rashford, Garnacho, Hojlund

Hopefully in the FA cup final and give City a decent game.

Great news, Bruno was also sent home after a great game against Sweden (1G+1A) and Martinez said that he deserves some rest - best thing for everyone, both Bruno, United and Portugal.
I hate that I have to do this but I’m still going to.
You can’t use the word BOTH and then offer 3 variables.
My apologies.

Yeah sorry for that, my bad, I was about to say both United and Portugal but added Bruno without reflecting about it - and English is not my native language, its more my 4th language after Bosnian (Croatian, Serbian), Swedish and Spanish - but i do speak better English than French though. I try my best to at least make myself understandable.

I hope you can get over it and forgive my mistake.

We’ve really missed Licha. His ability on the ball is borderline ridiculous and his overall game is solid. Captain material once the curtain falls on Bruno.

I'd forgotten how good he was since he was out for so long. But he came back for a short period and he was a level above. Cant wait to see him back. Although with 3 games in a week, its probably going to be a test for him.

I really think we should try him as an inverted left back that pulls into a LCB in the possession phase, or holds in MF at some point. Especially if we get a capable (and ideally, tall/fast) CB to alongside him. It would give him more of opportunity to influence and control play, and Dalot could operate much more aggressively.

I don't follow the news closely enough, for some reason I was under the impression he'd be lucky to make it back in time for the end of the season. I'm pleasantly surprised at the news he could be back in the squad.

Such a shame about Shaw's injury as if we got Hojlund/Martinez/AWB/Shaw all fit for the run-in you'd start to look at overtaking Spurs/Villa with a lot more optimism.

Delighted he's on the way back and at an ideal time too. Please let his injury woes be behind him.

Can’t wait to have him back. When he returned for a few games around the turn of the year he was back to his best.
What I find weird is he literally had one bad game and a couple of below par but still decent performances and was then injured and lots of people were saying he was over rated, like he as ritten off in his first season after the first few games.

Obviusly cant really judge a player at the club until a couple of seasons or so which we cant yet do as been injured a lot of this, mean look at Casemeiros decline, Eriksens and been many other younger players had a great first season and then fallen.

But for me Martinez is different, just has the right mentality, age, skill set and ability. The injuries are the only concern for me as clear of those sure he will be back up to form and progress, he should be our captain ad could well be the best post Ferguson signing. For me Martinez and Romero are the best two centre backs in the premiership.

He is hugely overrated among fans. Yeah, he lacks fitness but he loses too many duels for my liking.

I hope he gets back to his best
But there is a Phil Jones last ditch nature to his game, which may lead to injuries

Looked really poor, although this was a horrible game to make his return in! It was still exciting to see him back on the pitch.

He needs to just get this season out of the way, like most of the squad need to do.

The biggest priority we have is making sure we don't break him for next season.

Shut him down for the season and get him ready to hit next season hard.

Looked terrible there.

It's never easy coming into a game when your team is up against it, especially when coming back from an injury.

Unfortunately, he couldn't quite get up speed and he was pretty bad on and off the ball.

He'll have to find his feet very quickly since the games will come thick and fast and we're kinda lacking in the CB department right now.

He was poor, but I have sympathy for him as he he shouldn't have been on the pitch.

Was on the bench as a last option due to fitness. He of course had to come on due to injuries and boy was he bad. He will recover, but you gotta ask why he was put on when he is so far behind on fitness

Hope, We Lose
Was thrown to the wolves again as we bring him back into the team in a bad situation. Doesnt seem like we learned anything from last time

Didnt do well especially on the goal
