TBF, I do think if it's a perfectly level offer money wise between United and City, he would choose City. He'd have a guaranteed premier league title this season, and a better shot at the Champions League this season. He signed for Pep Guardiola before, and the noise since the summer was that he was interested in playing for him again. The press keep saying "We know he wants to play for city"... well how? Because city keep telling them?
It's hiliarious how this keeps happening, they position themselves that it's " play for our manager and great team OR choose the money option"
Like they aren't offering an absolute boat load of cash. If he really wants City then he will choose their great offer and football.
The high intensity arse licking from the journos on City is ridiculous. You have to laugh at the pure absurdity of City being displayed as some sort of bastion for financial restraint in this deal, makes you wonder if people write this stuff with a straight face.
I think City have definitely let it be known they won't pay more than 20m. That suggests to me that the issue is the fee with Arsenal. No one really knows what Sanchez wants despite all the blurb about Pep etc.Sounds like it's moving faster than that even. But then again half the news could be made up to get people going. Feel like it could be done tomorrow though, whichever way it goes.
Hands Down !F5 F5 F5 F5
Nobody is saying that? Do you know another way to report that City allegedly do not want to pay what Arsenal/Sanchez demands than saying they don´t want to pay it? PSG and Bayern already walked away from Sanchez over his wage demands. You have to laugh at the pure absurdity of City being displayed as some sort of bastion for financial restraint in this deal, makes you wonder if people write this stuff with a straight face.
He's not even saying City or us. City is pretty much irrelevant club and then he acts suprised that even Pep can't get him there. What BS. The main reason being reported why he's not going to City is because City refuse to pay Arsenal.
If he is desperate to leave Arsenal this month and only one club is in for him then he joins that club
The way the market has been going recently I reckon he'd fetch over £100m if a club wasn't really wanting to sell.70-80m I believe.
Thank you Sir for that great honour!Hands Down !
You have been pronounced the No.1 Muppet on Red Cafe
100%The way the market has been going recently I reckon he'd fetch over £100m if a club wasn't really wanting to sell.
That if he was younger, but at 29, 70-80 seems to be the fair price. The way the market has been going recently I reckon he'd fetch over £100m if a club wasn't really wanting to sell.
Sure Pep himself is there on no wages doing work for the underprivileged Manchester City supporters union.Guillem - Pep, or money.
What a knob this fella is. City the club that is based on oil money and wouldn't be where they are without it. feck off and take your knob out of Pep's arse.
If he was younger he would be going for 150m+ more than Coutinho for sureThat if he was younger, but at 29, 70-80 seems to be the fair price.
Oh come on, all the talk of money or pep, united desperate enough to try and gazump the deal etc etc, the narrative is pretty clear unless you're being deliberately blinkered.Nobody is saying that? Do you know another way to report that City allegedly do not want to pay what Arsenal/Sanchez demands than saying they don´t want to pay it? PSG and Bayern already walked away from Sanchez over his wage demands.
That doesn't differ from my point does it ? If he was younger he would be +100m easily, but at 29, 80m seems more logical. If he was younger he would be going for 150m+ more than Coutinho for sure
At 29 he's probably still got a few years as a world-class player left in him. Or, at least, any club signing him will certainly hope he has. That if he was younger, but at 29, 70-80 seems to be the fair price.
That means nothing. It means loads of people went out putting on bets yesterday and today when the story broke. Considering there are so many more Utd fans than City fans also it's very logical that the odds would shift in Utd's favour. Wouldn't need any ITKs betting to cause that shift.Bookies making us favourite now is something.
I mean, it's not much, but it is something.
Have come to dislike many since Mourinho's arrival at United. Is it just me that hates journos with a passion?
I think he cares about money a lot more than you think.Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal for trophies and he has better chance with City then United. Possible quadruple as early as May.
Many of you are going to be left disappointed in day or two.
Sanchez still has at least 3 more years in him, but it's logical a world class player that can give 8 years will cost more than a player who gives 3.At 29 he's probably still got a few years as a world-class player left in him. Or, at least, any club signing him will certainly hope he has.
He's easily as good - if not better - than Coutinho, who was fetching £150m. Obviously Coutinho's younger and hence will go for more money but I don't think Sanchez, even at the age of 29, would be going for about half that price. Especially with the manner in which the market is currently inflated.
It's nonsense. It's such a weak narrative anyway - two clubs want a player and one is prepared to pay more because they require him more. Why do they require him more? Well the fact the other club has spent north of £100m more over the last 4 years might have something to do with it.You have to laugh at the pure absurdity of City being displayed as some sort of bastion for financial restraint in this deal, makes you wonder if people write this stuff with a straight face.
No it's not just you! The Conte/Mourinho spat took my hatred for them to another level. Is it just me that hates journos with a passion?
I am no Sir, call me ma'ladyThank you Sir for that great honour!
Agreed, hence why I'm still saying Coutinho would fetch more than Sanchez.Sanchez still has at least 3 more years in him, but it's logical a world class player that can give 8 years will cost more than a player who gives 3.
