Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

Mkhi is slowing things down but that's understandable. He isn't desperate to leave but it looks like he is being pushed out anyway. Why can't we get Sanchez done first and then negotiate with Arsenal for Mkhi?

I've got a feeling this is going to drag on for a few more days but it will eventually happen. Surely Mkhi will realise he has no place at United anymore and Mourinho wants him gone.

I’m pretty confident this is simply down to Mkhi not wanting a wage cut – Which he’d almost certainly have to take to join Arsenal. I imagine we’ll have to end up paying out the difference from his current contract because I don’t see any reason why he’d want to stay unless he’s holding out for Dortmund.

I can’t really see him being very popular either if he stays and we miss out on Sanchez, whether that’s right or wrong so I highly doubt this is any sort of pure loyalty or love for the club. He hasn’t really looked like a player that wants to be here when he’s on the pitch. So I’m not exactly gonna be hugely sympathetic to him. This club has given him every chance to be a big player for us.

First off all, feck you Mkh.

Second of all, if we get a straight swap and just have to pay the £10m agent fee that will be great business.

Ozil next please :D

Arsenal really is a perfect club and level for Mikhi. I guess it's down to the wages and his ego taking it as a step down.

Arsenal want to get a player in before they let Sanchez go. Tbf we'd do the same. Malcom and Auba may be difficult to acquire quickly

Really?!

He's a professional footballer, not a slave. He has a right to make his own decisions. Abusing a player for not making a move is extremely cnutish.

Amen.

Can't blame the guy for not wanting to join that shambles of a side, hoping we can do a deal separately for Sanchez as I have no faith in Arsenal getting shit sorted from their side.

So Arsenal chasing a player that isn't overly keen on joining them?

Not entirely happy no. Why would Mikhi wanna go to Arsenal anyway? Game time? Welbeck did that and look at him.

Only reason he may want out is the reported bust up with Mourinho at a tactics session

This is his career we're talking about. Would you be in a rush to join Arsenal at this moment in time?

Well yes. He isn't getting games for us anyway. Guess Arse are just reluctant to even pay him half the wages he is earning here which could make this whole deal quite difficult

So this is actually an exchange? Why can't we buy Sanchez for whatever they want and then the Mkhi deal can go through later.

I'd imagine Arsenal keeping their options open. As long as they can get one of Auba & Mkhitaryan they'll let Sanchez leave although I can see Auba to Arsenal and Mkhitaryan to Dortmund. I'd imagine he'd take a pay cut to go back to Dortmund but won't to go to Arsenal.

Absolutely not worried about us completing the deal with or without Micky being involved because its almost certain Jose doesn't rate him anymore. Arsenal will take the cash because Sanchez has refused to play and won't be signing a new contract and is really spoiling the mood in the dressing room. With 6 months left, Arsenal can keep thinking about the replacements because Sanchez won't play for them or take the money (in case Micky decides to stay) and try to work on their other targets. That's why I feel the whole deal doesn't hinge on Micky (of course it would make it easier if Micky agrees to move to Arsenal).

Still very much confident that this will happen sooner rather than later.

If I was him I would. Mkhi would fit in well at Arsenal he suits them more than us. He's finished at United that was clear when he was left out of the squad for over a month and only brought back when we hit the busy Christmas period.

Alexis would already be at Manchester City if their bid hadn't come too late in the day for Arsenal to get Lemar. I don't think there's any way Arsenal will let Alexis leave without some sort of replacement sorted out.

Just chill with the Mkhitaryan hate everyone. He's within his rights to do what's right for his career.

By 'different football philosophy' I assume he means Mourinho keeps asking him to put effort in and contribute to the team. Should try pulling his finger out of his arse before waffling on about philosophy.

jesus, I'm no fan of Miki on the pitch, that can be seen in my posts in his thread. but the stick he's getting here is embarrassing.

The good thing is that Arsenal themselves will be keen to get a replacement in asap. Their attack is shambles.

Threaten Mkhitaryan with a game in Sbragia's under-23 team. That would force anyone out the club.

Like few said, some of the posts on Mkhitaryan is just embarrassing and pathetic. He has signed long term deal and he has every right to decide his future.

Arsenal are really weird. Aren't they getting Malcom and/or Auba? Why would you still risk losing Sanchez for free in 6 months when he's not playing well for them and doesn't want to be there for Mkhitaryan?

They won't. I think they are just waiting for one of those options to actually join them before letting Sanchez go.

We're expecting a former Dortmund player to actually be useful for us. This will end up badly.

Jim White is full of it this morning, 10% chance of deal going through according to his source.

What kind of footballing philosophy does Mkhi have? All the man does is give the ball away.
