Havent been this excited about a player since we got Ronaldo. For real.
I remember calling my friend when we got Ronaldo and being super excited about it and he was like...wait whos that haha
Same here. Still need to prove himself here, but I am very hyped about this signing.
Him and Greenwood can both play on the right, maybe there's no need to go for Sancho.

Looks like we decided not to get Sancho. For the money we have more serious gaps to fill.

Not long till our saviour arrives right guys? Come on that's totally happening isn't it? Please?

He’s going to walk into that starting 11 considering we have zero options on that right wing, really excited to see this guy now, not too much longer either !

From the small amount of games I have seen him in I like that he doesn’t seem to be fazed by the game or environment he’s in, United will be a whole new level of pressure but seems the type that just plays his game and lets that do the talking for him

He's not going to walk into our first eleven. He'll naturally be in and out of the side. Likely feature more for the u23's.
Stop with the hype.

He looks a bit light to me,he will need to bulk up and be given time to adjust.Best not rush him and get the shit kicked out of him,we do not want to spoil it for him .

Yep we need to be careful of the hype train here. The kid is clearly very talented but he's moving country at 18 years old - he might take a while to get settled.

I think Pellestri will probably get a chance first and Diallo take his place in the reserves for the first 2 months or so.

Gonna be interesting to see how he adapts to ole's style of play, without doubt one of the best up and coming direct attacking players being asked to stop, check and pass back to AWB

When was the last time he was mentioned by Ole/Woody? Will he be arriving in 2 weeks?

On that point, he'll just give it to Amad. Might even free up room for the overlap

Given the mass amount of games we have until 1st Jan, I think our only focus is on them. We won't announce anything until 1st Jan either way as that's when he can be registered as a player.

I wonder will the left foot cut in of Diallo and right foot of AWB or Williams on the overlap be dangerous. It’s exciting thinking we may have a/some/any threat from the right side again. It’s a Bit like the Bruno transfer insofar as it’s half a season too late in a position we have nothing and for no particular reason only we move very slowly to fix issues on the pitch if we move at all

The right foot of AWB will never be dangerous, in any way shape or form.

he’s got a good cross on him and can go past a man but at the moment he has that wing all to himself and still has to defend too. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see his attacking play pick up when he gets a solid partnership to work with
Maybe, but I just can't see how having a talented player in front of him is suddenly going to stop him from looking like a deer in the headlights every time he receives the ball into his feet.

Southampton and Leipzeg are two teams in very quick succession that targeted him as a point of weakness.

I think on last seasons form he’d have pocketed Angelino and he’d have had Greenwood asking questions going the other way. It’s all what ifs anyway. What’s definite is we are getting a potentially very good player on that side to help. Hopefully it clicks. Seems like there is some substance to the Trippier links. If ole has made a mistake and realises after we bought him the best defensive young RB in the league and we need more attacking impetus then so be it. There’s always trial and error. We will always get decent money for AWB if we ever decide to sell. The real problem is it takes us an age as an organisation to fix any mistakes we make

Stop with the hype.

Why would he go to u23's?
Is he already better than Daniel James? We can say with about 99 % certainty that he is. You watch him for 10 minutes and thats more than obvious. And not just a little bit better either. His talent is on a different level. And he is left footed, a natural right winger too. So hes a much better player and better fit than James.
Pellestri is the one we will develop more slowly and carefully not perhaps in the first team.
Diallo does have a shot to get some serious playing time straight away.

He'll be the new Robben. No doubt whatsoever to start him.

Can you? On what basis would that be? Some training videos and a few short appearances off the bench. James was fantastic when he first joined United. So how would anyone know if he’ll get surpassed by Diallo?
That said James isn’t even featuring, so he’d have to be better than Mata or Greenwood, neither of whom he’s demonstrated as being better than.
It’s always a big unknown with any new signing, especially when they’re teenagers and fans just get carried away with giddiness based on a short YouTube clip.
