Could have been a different game had he not lost his composure in front of goal. Other than that, another below par performance from our talisman.

Did his best. Tried to create chances, should have scored, but the complete invisibility of the midfield and defence is not his fault.

We took the lead against Liverpool early into the match back in May. Didn't stop us from conceding 4 after that. So don't believe it would made that much of a different game, we're just awful atm in midfield and defence.

It would've been very similar to the Spurs game last season at OT where we scored in the first 5 mins.

End result was never going to change.

Utterly outclassed tactically.

Not blaming him alone for the defeat but what a glorious miss that was. Look at Salah, took his chances. You got to turn up in big matches.

I hate that whenever he's playing with Ronaldo all he does is doing millions of predictable crosses. Like he suddenly has this tunnel visions to put crosses whenever possible just because Ronaldo's there

True. We'd have lost 5-1 had he taken his chance. What a miss.

The same Salah that didn't score in his first 10 games against United?

It was a poor game from Bruno along with 90% of the team and we got annihilated tactically. Not much more to look into it for me.

exactly. He needs a midfield behind him. McFred is not a pair that he want behind him.
Bruno needs to be an actual part of the midfield.

We're lining up with Rashford, Ronaldo, Bruno and Greenwood.

It's fairly fecking obvious which one of those 4 players should be the one constantly making himself available to Fred and McTominay.

Think he’ll push for a move at the end of this season.

We needed a strong defensive midfielder (or two), instead we have 8 attacking players. We are over inflated up top.
A dm and a fullback was more needed than Ronaldo, I get why we did it but it makes no sense to get Ronaldo without that dm.

Spain will suit him

Who is going to press from the front then? Ronaldo can't and Rashford/Greenwood have some of the worst defensive action stats in the whole league. The whole team itself is unbalanced beyond belief.

He can still press from the front when we don’t have the ball and drop deep when we’re trying to play out from the back.

Are we completely unbalanced? Yup, its fecking suicide to line up with Rashford, Bruno, Ronaldo and Greenwood against anyone half decent.

Ole's biggest mistake this season was pushing Bruno too far forward.

It's meant game after game we're expecting miracles from the centre mid combo, and week after week they just get bypassed.

Too bad he's not superhuman. He's already running his ass off.
Too bad he’s not intelligent enough on the pitch.

Not sure why people convince themselves that Bruno is being asked too much. Just fecking help out our midfield when we’re trying to build from the back, instead of pretending he’s the striker

He hit the jackpot under Ole, life will bevery different for him under any other manager
Oh yes! One of the very best if not the best attacking midfielders in the world will struggle under better managers. Not like he can tone down the risk taking.

If anything, I think he will kick it up a notch with more structure and organization in the team

You can't see it's clearly the managers instruction?

He's not gone rogue ffs, he is doing exactly what he has been asked to do I.e.. cover for Ronaldos defensive work.

He really does need to stop making stupid decisions. Like him pressing Allison is stupid. We had this convo after the Atlanta game but he causes lots of issues. Either Rashfor, Greenwood or Ronaldo are told to cover him or he stops pressing at stupid times.

Presses Allison, Allison pops it to VVD, Bruno now has no chance of getting in to midfield and just jogs back. If he just stayed in midfield and not pressed that first goal probably doesn’t happen. He’s not helped by Greenwood and Bissaka having a melt down but it needs to stop.

The issue is, is he told to do this or is it his choice. No way of knowing but it’s stupid either way. Anyone coming in this is one of the first things that needs sorting.

He's not the best anything in the world, he should probably slip off back to Italy or somewhere if he wants to continue playing football the way he does

Needlessly chased down alison, left greenwood to half arsedly chase van dyk and then awb and so on and so on.

Been saying it all week that he leaves gaping holes trying to press by himself.

Ole has to either reign him in or change the players around him so they all press together.

Bruno has been like this since way before we signed Ronaldo.

He kept being bollocked the entire first half against Atalanta, both by teammates and coaches

You have no idea what you are talking about. Go checkout his heatmaps from last season. He played waaay deeper. I already posted quite a few of them on Twitter a month ago, I'll see if I can dig them up.

Been saying it for a while now. It totally fecks up our system (whatever system we have) and we just seem to let him

Yeah in a team full of performers who have all been completely inconsistent, Fernandes, our one CONSTANT in terms of creation has been the problem.

we have been shite for a long time...Fernandes is one player who has banked some leeway...
His stats in the league since jan are almost as poor as his performances to be honest

I hate it when all those crosses go straight to a defender.

Same but some people don’t see the whole picture. He’s an easy fix and one of the biggest issues in the team. Fed up of skirting around it. He needs someone to get a hold of him and just show him the issues he causes and get him to cut out the rubbish. Run smarter.
