Didn't he look a lot more comfortable physically? I thought he looked sharper and quicker than the first few games.

Casemiro was a lot better today. Very key on a lot of situations where Burnley broke the first line press and he helped stop them in midfield. They had a lot of possession, he hard to work hard but with some extra legs in there with him he looked back to form. Lesson there I think.

Second half he was superb. Linking a lot of play, getting up and down (Rashford ignoring him after he made up that ground you could see pissed him off) and looked much fresher. Now we know it takes 6 games to lose the Rio belly.

Bit better, didn't have as much room to cover with a partner and everything just looked a bit more compact and disciplined. Ten Hag should use that set up more, when Amrabat is up to speed and if his on the ball play matches the reports then it should be a bit more balanced than Cas/McT in terms of possession.

Played much better tonight. We need him to be good. Hopefully he keeps up playing like that.

Give him somebody next to him who can still run, and less ground to cover than the wide open fecking meadows he was asked to try and defend on his own in our first few games and he's still top class.

He was better today because McTominay gets about the park a lot better to help him. We should be going with him and Amrabat in future.

It was a combination of Hannibal and McTominay in there with him, the midfielders in this system are expected to work hard together off the ball, especially if the first phase of the press is broken in order to recover, and Eriksen's legs just won't carry him fast enough or far enough to make it work. In this system there just isn't room for a passenger in the middle of the park. Tonight those guys along with Casemiro ran for each other and that left each of them with smaller, more manageable areas to cover.

Yeah, sometimes you can judge a DM by how the #10 on the other team did, same as with fullbacks and their opposing wingers, and in this case Ramsey had a good first half then totally disappeared after the break.

Feel like there were signs yesterday of a possible return to form and fitness. 2nd half certainly looked far more mobile and was getting about at people.

He was better but fact it took such poor opposition and such a pragmatic approach from us means that can’t read much into it yet.

Best performance in a while, still very worried we have spent 60 million for a player declining rapidly, but yesterday was a sign he isn't completely done yet

He’s been slowly improving over the last few matches. As most of us knew he just takes a while to get into his stride.

Burnley he was probably the second best player after Evans. He’ll be putting in an undisputed MOTM performance soon.

Case started as a striker, thats his original position in his youth days.
I think he’d make a good number 10. Most South American and Italian CDM’s were originally number 10’s or forward players. Who ended up playing the director role in the cdm spot.

Which is something people like Souness and the English media in general don’t seem to understand when they speak about him.

Thought he played much better, probably because he had MCT and Hannibal with him. Bruno was also playing on the right probably helped too as he werent causing turnovers in middle of pitch.

Lovely man.

Just needed a few weeks to warm up his chubby cheeks.

120 touches tonight.

He's like Rooney. I think the manager prefers him in rhythm and playing lots as he is a slow starter. Great today.

Upward trend continueing. Very good. Potentially there won't be many games as easy as today but doesn't matter. Did very well today.

Maybe he’s just like an old classic car and needs a few games under his belt to really get going. He was having fun tonight

Looked really good tonight, especially with Amrabat there to take the load off. More of this on Saturday please.
