 people just tweet every scenario then delete the ones that are wrong. How are you falling for this in 2023!
I just started using twitter relatively recently, a year or two max, and I don't really know the ins and outs, don't tweet, don't really know too much about how it works, I just follow a handful of people. However, in a general sense it has served me quite well. I am often shocked at news others find surprising, when it's something that's been floating around twitter for a while. All the, "if Twitter says so" comments are just stupid, it's 2023, twitter is a concentration of information from every type of source, but as with traditional venues of information, it requires the user to have enough common sense to be able to separate reliable info from obvious crap.

I find some of the media reporting on this to be strange, Mike Keegan in the Daily Mail almost seemed like a water carrier for Qatar. And I don't get the fact that some sources report the Qataris will be the likely owners and are confident of purchasing Utd when others are reporting that the Qataris won't go over £4.5M for Utd. How can you set a max valuation of £4.5M (Below what the Glazers are likely be looking for) and be confident of buying Utd? The Glazers aren't selling or else you're lying about your max valuation.

And another thing: with FSR coming on line, rich owners don't really mean much. This club's issue has not really been generating revenue (And we'd make more revenue if we get better on the pitch which as things stand is happening under the Glazers), this club's issue has always been not spending money well. Big owners don't really change much as most of the revenue cow has already been milked by Ed Woodward, the gains still available are marginal at best. And whilst I don't think a new training ground and a redeveloped stadium would hurt, I don't think they are essential to Utd on the field.
… Keep as is, then?

The glazers simply cannot afford Utd any longer, its the end game, they are completely out of road and will cut and run with their billions.

There are rumors floating around twitter that it's a done deal, Joel/Avram are buying out their siblings with the help of the Apollo group because the revitalization of the super league has them thinking it will be worth 20 bil in a few years.
I know where these rumours come from and you can disregard them as you would a shit stained tissue.

Makes you wonder if Ratcliffe really thought he was in contention, especially knowing he’d need to borrow significantly for a leveraged buyout? Compared to potential Middle Eastern bidders he really isn’t in the race but it’s been great publicity for him and Ineos since the takeover was announced.
There has been no suggestion that Ratcliffe is looking at a leveraged buyout. The debt would be on INEOS, not the club. Big difference. If Malcolm Glazer had bought United like that, their ownership would have been looked a lot more kindly.

The Glazer's are hardly incompetent, how many folks do you know who bought a business for nothing, take out millions in dividends and are selling it for billions? -We, as fans, don't like it, but as a way of making a lot of money it was pretty ingenious
Malcom Glazer and Woodward were the brains of the operation, the people who knew the gameplan and how to execute it. Without either of them the remaining Glazers have lost the plot. But let's say you are right, it still doesnt change the fact that during COVID and in the post pandemic era the Glazers knew what was coming and have been looking for that minority investor for a long time, the even reportedly offered the Saudis a stake three years ago.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all the Qatar talk amounted to nothing but the idea Joel and Avram can buy out their siblings and cling on is total nonsense.

Imagine a place where everyone posts their opinion like its a fact and they have inside info, then delete their tweets weeks later when it doesn't happen.
This concept is new too me, but it makes total sense, I guess I am just too honest to even think of that. However, my normal method for deducing information has served me well. Although I did step outside my normal methods when I mentioned that tweet, although I would happily take the burn on that one.

I can be one negative bastard but yeah the idea of the 2 Glazers buying out the other 4 is a far fetched

Would basically mean they’d have to turn down £4billion plus bids and sell to their brothers for a fair bit less money

I can bet my life that money is more important than family for the Glazers

The Glazers did loosen the purse strings but that only happened after they neglected the academy/youth, with the football structure that also became dated with Derek Langley (Head of recruitment) reportedly being a pen and paper guy rather than having data bases to tap into which had become the norm at other big clubs. And it was reported that when Moyes arrived at the club he asked where the scouting/recruitment information was stored, the response he got was that everything was stored in Jim Lawlor's head who was the Chief Scout.

Man City bought David Silva, Aguero and Yaya Toure unchallenged because there was 'no value in the market'. Silva and Aguero were both reported to be players Fergie wanted. He never got those players but still carried on competing and winning whilst not being backed by the board imo.

And with David Gill making a swift exit and leaving behind a broken football club from the inside that had been left behind as far as modernisation is concerned, they replaced him with Ed Woodward. And of course you had to spend money and revive the club at all levels on the football side of the club. But when you have a dated football structure and you then bring in managers who are also dated in their beliefs, then the recruitment will reflect those managers whilst our rivals were recruiting for managers who adopted a more dominant, high intensity play style with pressing and counter pressing capabilities.

So yes, the Glazers did allow us to spend our own money. But they only allowed that to happen after they'd overseen the malaise throughout the club via both David Gill and Ed Woodward. And spending money was the only way to get out of the mess the Glazers had created. But their incompetence meant even the money was wasted due to the managers that were hired.

It’s crazy isn’t it. Even that clown IndyKalia still has a large following despite being exposed years ago as an absolute fraud who isn’t well connected and ITK but instead just some no mark who works in KFC getting a kick out of pretending to be some transfer guru.

I feel like people follow Indy now purely because it's a joke account and people enjoy going along with it. It's a bit of an inside joke but I doubt very few take him seriously anymore.

There's plenty of fresh versions that pop up though, there's that Ross matey that's been rustling people all summer long.

Then you get those muppetier guys from Reddit  people just can't help themselves. Being ITK sure is a strange phenomena

They're not going to fund any major projects. Apollo can buy out some of the Glazer siblings for equity and that'll be that.
And Apollo would come in as what? Minority shareholders or lenders? As lenders its close to impossible because the other siblings will want a big payday, at two or three billion they will be looking at at least a £150m interest bill per season. As minority investors who the hell invests two billion on the Glazers after seeing the clusterfeck they have presided over.

It doesn't make sense for any PE to enter into partnership with skint owners like the Glazers especially if the money invested is going out to the other siblings. How then does the team stay competitive without major investments in infrastructure and playing staff? Once Newcastle settle in the top four, Spurs get taken over and Liverpool sort themselves out then United, under the parasites, will slide away into midtable mediocrity.

For example, next summer we cant sign the top striker and midfielder we need with them in charge. This could mean us standing still and others overtaking us again but only difference this time is we no longer have the money claw back up. If I am at Apollo I'd thinking there are probably less stressful ways to spend my money.

It's a relatively small twitter account, but he was right about a lot of our transfer activity in the summer. I'm not saying it's true, I just threw it out, in case it's true, so that fellows reds might not be smacked in the face with this news out of nowhere. Could be bullshit, but it might reign some expectations from people in that are 100% convinced Qatar is done and financial floodgates are about to open.
Are you trolling or what? Post the bloody source or stop. Or at least post it in the sticky .

I believe Mourinho has already expressed his desire to return on hearing the news of the incoming Qatari ownership

One of Hasan Al-Thawadi or Nasser Al-Khater are the candidate to be the director of the club in the case of Qatar takeover.

It’s been discussed in this thread. It’s bullshit. Check his recent posts/reply to myself
Honestly, cannot be bothered but it's amazing how people just so casually cause panic like that.

Keegan's stories have been bizarre throughout this process. I have a funny feeling that his source is going to turn out to be some low-level 'regular Joe' Qatari citizen with a very loose connection to one of the royals, who has just been making it all up for a bit of a laugh.

IF... The Qataris were to own us, I'd think Hassan Al-Thawadi wouldn't be a favoured option, as he seemed to be part of the front of Qatar World Cup and was controverisal at times.

Yep this is all very reasonable and I hope that it works out this way. I assumed they'd be minority shareholders and have some hypothesis on football growth that other people are not seeing given their investments with Barca etc.

It’s most likely scaremongering from the likes of Delaney but I suggest everyone be prepared for the Glazers to back track on their intentions to sell if no one meets their crazy demands. We all know how greedy these cnuts are so nothing should surprise anyone. We just have to pray the other 4 siblings put enough pressure on Joel and Avram that anything other than a full sale is out of the question.
I'm not claiming to be ITK or repeat what I've heard or anything like that. But all I will say is that's very good advice for the next few days.
