His poor positioning puts him in many difficult situations, that’s for sure. Add a bit of poor decision making and it’s not so strange Ole prefers the other CBs even when they are on bad patches like Maguire.Indeed. A wild desperate lunge under no pressure. Thought his positioning was consistently poor with AWB as well, they were too far apart too often. All the defenders had bad moments today though. Confidence is in the toilet.

Bailly was our best CB on the day. He even created one of our few chances with his progressive passingLindelof was the only one who looked somewhat up for it in our backline today

It is a cliche. But we all know that there is always a mistake coming. These are primarily because of his poor balance and body position. Both could be coached out... but have not and continue to occur. His poor positioning puts him in many difficult situations, that’s for sure. Add a bit of poor decision making and it’s not so strange Ole prefers the other CBs even when they are on bad patches like Maguire.
Is there a secret trophy that we win for the number of twitter apologies after a defeat? I swear this was not a thing before Ole.Tweet

His chance being the next CL match?Hope he takes his chance, which means not scoring an OG and not getting injured. Harry needs to sort himself out.
We're assuming Chelsea on the weekend since Maguire is suspended. His chance being the next CL match?
Oh right yeah. We're assuming Chelsea on the weekend since Maguire is suspended.
2 games in and he'll be injured.I will not be surprised to see Bailly stay and become one of our most important defenders. If he is willing to adapt, he could play a very important role under Rangnick. A very brainfart-less Eric can become our starting CB quite soon.
Which is a huge shame. If he can stay fit he could become a monster under Rangnick.2 games in and he'll be injured.
That is my main concern as well, to be honest. Here is hoping that this is not the case.2 games in and he'll be injured.
Seconded. Ralf, hopefully, will help him cut out his rashness. A cool headed Eric would complement Rafael really well.I think he has a real shot of starting along with Varane. His physicality is superb, he's also really skilled on the ball. If he can get rid of those braindead moments he's a nailed starter.
