A lot of open training on tours like this. There's a big crowd in training?
Can't see that working very well in a game. Does this "ten" Hag know much about kicksphere?Tweet

You’d be wrong. Maguire is one of the best CBS in the league on paper regardless of how last season panned out. His career to date suggests that much. Shaw was the best left back in the league just 12 months ago. Fred is an international starter for Brazil and another very good player in the right system. McTominay is the only player that is truly crap. The squad is far stronger than you make out.You can mask 2-3 players with a drilled system, but as many average / poor players as we do?
Still don't see Maguire, AWB, Shaw, McFred and probably a few others as good enough myself. I reckon most starting XI's he picks you're looking at least 6 players as not good enough
That also depends on if Ole coached them how to or told them to just "Play out from the back". I have a feeling he did little coachingThere was a period under Ole when Utd tried to play out from the back. The players couldnt cope with the press and we ended up conceding possession almost every time.
Its going to be mostly the same players so, hopefully, the new manager has been able to perform a miracle.
Asking players to play from the back won't do it, players should be trained and every player should move in sync, to create passing options for the player in possession. This is something we were very poor at and it was easy for any decent team to press and win possession. There was a period under Ole when Utd tried to play out from the back. Nah old people are thick as shit, can't teach 'em anything.if kids can learn to play out of the back at a young age these muppets can as well.....it's just simply about repetition and patterns of play
show them solutions but also show them options so they know how to handle situations based on the opposition and how they press
piss off with the old joke.... . i'm over35. we can be stubborn and set in our ways for sureNah old people are thick as shit, can't teach 'em anything.
Don't @ me people over 35.
It would be no surprise if United lined up in a 4-3-3 against Liverpool with Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw at full-back, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly as centre-halves, Fred as a holding midfielder with Donny van de Beek and Bruno Fernandes either side, with Anthony Martial at centre-forward, Marcus Rashford wide left and Jadon Sancho wide right. That was how United lined up in one drill.

Far from it, he's not even the best CB at our club. On paper is not how you judge a player or team. You’d be wrong. Remember when he was bought to play on the right and the two managers saw he was better on the left and shifted Rashford to the right where he's useless? Sancho on the right is still comfortably better than Rashford there, so I hope that's what we do going forward.Sancho on the right is interesting..
I would be worried if they didn't.Tweet

They all look completely wrecked
We never actually setup properly to do this though. There was a period under Ole when Utd tried to play out from the back. The players couldnt cope with the press and we ended up conceding possession almost every time.

That's a good thing as they're all being pushed. It's very hot over there. Kane and Son both collapsed during Spurs' training session in Seoul.Jesus! They look like they're struggling.
They collapse in most games mate, multiple times. That's a good thing as they're all being pushed. It's very hot over there. Kane and Son both collapsed during Spurs' training session in Seoul.
Damn he looks like an intense guy on the training ground. That's good.Tweet

Finally a manager who looks crazy and great at the same time. Seeing this and thinking about Ole’s tenure makes me somewhat cringe a bit.Damn he looks like an intense guy on the training ground. That's good.
Van Gaal was all about the football and was a proper coach (the only other one post Sir Alex), but he was very rigid in his ways, and his style wasn't really accepted by the fans. Way too safe, cautious. We were coached very well though, Rooney would even say he learned tons from him. I just don't think Van Gaal is really made for club football at this point.Worrying how much I'm starting to like this guy having not seen his United side play a match.
Must keep hopes and expectations in check at this stage, but there's something so weirdly fascinating about this chap. Almost feels like he's the first football-focussed manager we've had since Fergie. Always felt like Moyes was too busy trying to prove he belonged on this stage. Van Gaal always seemed to be looking for problems. Mourinho was all about Mourinho. Ole was merely happy to be here enjoying the ride. And Ralf, well, I'm not sure anyone knows why Ralf was here.
With Erik it feels like football's finally being prioritised above all else. Love how he has so little to say of importance in his press conferences, yet comes across as a huge personality in the training clips.
Can't wait to see us (attempt to) play his brand of football.
Or perhaps we'll find out some of the players aren't actually turds...We'll have to wait and see if ten hag can polish turd.

I think our initial performances will be disjointed peppered with some good play. We'll grind out and fluke results with a few draws and defeats. I hope we can see more cohesive performances after the world cup so long as we don't have an injury crisisWorrying how much I'm starting to like this guy having not seen his United side play a match.
