Thought USA having a second GP later in the year was bad enough but next year they'll be having 3 fecking races.

Truth like rain don't give a feck who it falls on.
What a trashy affair this whole weekend was. Police escort, NFL helmets, fake marina. I'm surprised they didn't have an eagle sing the national anthem while fighter jets streamed red/white/blue overhead as everyone in the audience shed a tear.

Russell hates the feckin track
I really like that about George. Doesn’t sugar coat everything and pretend it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

didn’t slag it off but made it clear he thinks it can be improved.

They are going to learn from this greatness. The winners will have to run through a giant red bullfighters cape on the way to the podium after the Spanish GP.
British GP could have top 3 coming out in full kit from the top 3 premiership clubs while blaring god save the queen. Full John Terry, shin pads and everything.

That'll show em'.

The best part of this race is the melt down from the British fans over the helmets  it’s just as stereotype as it comes. I hope next year at Australia they wear Akubras with the corks dangling off them.

Still waiting for one of you to say “Sir Stirling is turning in his grave”

I seem to be in the minority but I thought it was a pretty decent race overall, plenty of non-drs overtakes and close racing throughout. I did have really low expectations before the race so maybe I'm just pleasantly surprised but still, thought it was more than fine overall.
Not much happening at the front though which dulls it down a bit I guess, and I have to admit it doesn't feel all that good going forward when you see how Max is that little bit faster than Leclerc yet again. It's really close but it feels like RB has the edge as it stands right now.

I think Ferrari are being conservative. Be interesting to see how it pans over the next few races. Spain will be the proper indicator of where the cars are at.

It was a decent race. Lots of action in the midfield. But nobody seems to care about that

YESHHHHH, We'll GOOO for it.
American cringe is well known but the hate and moaning on this thread is funny to see. It's a bit like hardcore Indian cricket fans hating everything about Lords and the slope of the pitch and the Brits claiming tradition. Perhaps Hamilton winning would have made it all bearable.

Super calm driving from Verstappen. He had a good car but still it depended on execution. Early overtaking of Sainz was crucial as it would have allowed charles to build up a lead. Very good race after the SC as well. Note to Netflix fans, SC means built up lead will be wiped out.

Although Hamilton was a non entity in this race and i wanted to avoid any comments on him, couldn't help this one. Absolutely idiotic from his team to ask him to choose a strategy. What the feck? Wonder if it's because Hamilton gave grief about his team making wrong decisions for him. Think it's already tough enough to battle Ferrari and RB with a porpoise without internal team issues. Think should be all hands on deck to fight this season and trust and harmony within the team has to be re-established. Less said about the nose rings the better.

I don’t think it was as much an America thing as it was a Miami billionaire thing. Austin isn’t quite on the same level of corniness.
Carlos Sainz eye roll after the interviews is one for the ages though.

Verstappen is driving like a real champion, in hos defence. I am supporting Leclerc, but Max is absolutely perfect in last two races.

At Vegas they'll have a sprint race where if you finish 10th you can double or nothing for pole/back of the grid.

Max is having a stormer of a a season so far. 19 points behind with 2 mechanical DNFs.

If Red Bull didn't have shit relaibility he would be 17 ahead right now.

Red Bull now look to be the quickest car but due to Ferrari having a quick and reliable car I still give them the edge in terms of overall package.

Max has a good chance if there are no more mechanical DNFs.

It seems Ferrari have introduced no upgrades yet.

think Barcelona will be big to see how the developments work. They need to be able to run a less downforce package to compete with the straight line advantage.

Mercedes are showing signs of recovery. On the slower tracks of Barcelona + Monaco they could excel. Wouldn't be surprised to see the first win of the season for Mercedes at Monaco.

At present though the red bull does seem the best overall package. Lets see how Ferrari can combat it.

The trouble is we did not see much of it, the TV director was just rubbish, missed most of the overtakes, the camera angles were dreadful.
FIA control TV picture and 99.9% of the time they are excellent, what happened here ?

Agree Max is having a great season personally, only to be let down by reliability issues. Don't know which car is better between the RB and the Ferrari though. RB is definitely quicker on the straights but the Ferrari is faster through the corners, looks more stable/easier to drive and obviously has been more reliable. I think the Ferrari was the best car at first but then RB introduced some upgrades which have given them a slight edge. Upgrades will be crucial this season so it will be interesting to see what Ferrari come up with to fix their straight line speed. That's really the only problem they have with the car right now. If they manage to fix that they've got a championship winning car on their hands for sure. Either way it's been a great fight between Max and Leclerc and so far I'm really enjoying this season.

Miami was just dreadful, did not like the track, the bad interviews at the end, the NFL helmets, Police escort to the podium, was just pure trash.
I thought the race was decent after the safety car, no much happened before that.
They was plenty of mid field action, not that we saw much of it.
We have this track for 10 years, hopefully next year they will do it better.
The race result was expected, Red Bull and Max are unstoppable , if the car is reliable and it was for the race.
Leclerc nearly got him towards the end, but the speed of the Red Bull was the difference in the end.
Carlos and Perez fight for 3rd was good, Perez nearly nicked it.
Russell getting 5th in front of Lewis again, some say he was lucky again with safety cars, why did ;Lewis not pit under the SC, if he had come in for soft, he would have had 5th maybe even a 4th.
Spain next, wonder who will bring upgrades, will Mercedes have learnt anything from Miami ? their pace in FP was decent, qualifying and race no so good.

Does anyone think Leclerc could potentially have put up a better fight or even overtaken Max if Ferrari had changed his tyres to softs?

Sure but mediums, not softs. Dont think they'd have lasted. They fumbled the ball due to having their afternoon nap at the time.
