Excellent from Russell, keeps it interesting
No idea on what fuel or engine maps they're running but this could get lively if the three teams are still running this close in qualifying.
Qually and the race could be so interesting for once at spain. Ferrari (leclerc) will probably get pole but ferrari suffering more than RB and Merc with degradation on the soft tyre.
I'd expect max to get past leclerc at the first pitstop, but RB arent as good through the infield section as ferrari. No idea if Mercedes have held anything back engine wise in fp3 but they are getting closer. Would be great tomorrow if Russell and Hamilton were in the mix with the RBs and Ferraris on genuine pace.

Looks like Mercedes have finally fixed their issues and so far they're on par with Ferrari and Red Bull this weekend. Game on for them. A three way battle for the rest of the season would be fantastic. Hopefully they can pull it off. With Max still taking the Championship of course

Awful for the team. Problem is if your fast in spain you'll be fast everywhere else for the rest of the season. Opposite applies if your slow. Not a good showing for Alpine either.

As brundle explained, the car as it currently is, isnt in the right place for lewis. He's having to 2nd guess what it will do and is having to fight it too much. george is doing better job with the car as it is currently.
Once Mercedes get the porposing in corners resolved i expect lewis to be back to his best.
Christ 34c but only 18% humidity in Spain. We had same temp but 74% humidity today- brutal weather.
Q3 this is were we should see what the Mercedes can do.
