Le Clerc is a very good driver but it just goes to show how relentlessly consistent Hamilton and Max were last year. They are a level above everyone else. Although Russell is creeping into that group.

Leclerc needs a big mentality moment here. Most pressured qualy lap he’s had all season.

Hamilton ain't in that group at the moment. Leclerc will never have that ultra consistency but he's got the pace which is all that matters in 90% of championships if you've got the car.

Merc renaissance short-lived.
aye. not really fair that they bring upgrades to try and close the gap to the leading pack and they just bring upgrades too and go even faster.

Yep Hamilton isn’t performing at his best at the moment that’s for sure. And it’s not unreasonable to wonder if he will again given age.

Hamilton winning is as likely as Tiger Woods winning the Masters again, slim to none. The advantage of having a much, much better car is gone forever, which is only very good for the sport.

They bought updates to fix the porposing not to close the gap. That starts from the next GP onwards once they get cornering porposing resolved, which needs to be fixed for monaco.

Merc will be closer on race pace but they are still too far off to compete, it will come too late now.

Max will win tomorrow.
