Lewis looked to be giving it all, still lacking a bit, grip was lacking in places.
And he delivered in styleLeclerc needs a big mentality moment here. Most pressured qualy lap he’s had all season.
Yeh huge lap.And he delivered in style
Hamilton ain't in that group at the moment. Leclerc will never have that ultra consistency but he's got the pace which is all that matters in 90% of championships if you've got the car.Le Clerc is a very good driver but it just goes to show how relentlessly consistent Hamilton and Max were last year. They are a level above everyone else. Although Russell is creeping into that group.
5th and 6th is where Mercedes are at the moment sadlyLewis is going to be starting 6th a lot this season.
aye. not really fair that they bring upgrades to try and close the gap to the leading pack and they just bring upgrades too and go even faster.Merc renaissance short-lived.
Like that season a few years ago where United won like 8 in a row and moved from 6th to... 6thLewis is going to be starting 6th a lot this season.
Yep Hamilton isn’t performing at his best at the moment that’s for sure. And it’s not unreasonable to wonder if he will again given age.Hamilton ain't in that group at the moment. There is a renaissance for mercs, but only for Russell, he is driving the shit of that carMerc renaissance short-lived.
Hardly. Big improvement from them.Merc renaissance short-lived.
Removal of last championship won, I thinkIf Max has to change engine because of power issues, what penalty is that?
Yeah I have got him down for P3 tomorrow. There is a renaissance for mercs, but only for Russell, he is driving the shit of that car
Hamilton winning is as likely as Tiger Woods winning the Masters again, slim to none. The advantage of having a much, much better car is gone forever, which is only very good for the sport.Yep Hamilton isn’t performing at his best at the moment that’s for sure. They bought updates to fix the porposing not to close the gap. That starts from the next GP onwards once they get cornering porposing resolved, which needs to be fixed for monaco.aye. not really fair that they bring upgrades to try and close the gap to the leading pack and they just bring upgrades too and go even faster.
Fanboys.Hamilton winning is as likely as Tiger Woods winning the Masters again, slim to none. The advantage of having a much, much better car is gone forever, which is only very good for the sport.
DRS didnt open, horner just said. Wasnt engine. If Max has to change engine because of power issues, what penalty is that?
Moving in the right direction but still 0.75 secs off, albeit as opposed to 1+ sec before. There is a renaissance for mercs, but only for Russell, he is driving the shit of that car
Yup just heard.DRS didnt open, horner just said. Wasnt engine.
Don’t think he’s being honest. Max lost power through a corner.DRS didnt open, horner just said. Wasnt engine.
I was thinking he'd hardly claim he was losing power if it was just DRS didn't kick in.Don’t think he’s being honest. Max lost power through a corner.
Possibly a sensor issue like what Perez had in Miami.
I think they’ll see the result as a positive though. They are now clearly the third fastest team which wasn’t given so far and they are much closer. Not close enough yet for sure. But rare in F1 to make huge steps.Merc will be closer on race pace but they are still too far off to compete, it will come too late now.
Max will win tomorrow.
