The next few days are crucial. If he gets past that, he'll be fine. Praying for you, Sir Alex!

Sir Alex is Manchester United to an extent that nobody else has been anything else ever.

Like most people here, dreading for the day. Even in his age, there is more fight in him than in probably any other man, so hopefully, he will fully recover.

Hope also his family gets the privacy they requested.

I see this "official statement" all over twitter, but where is the actual statement from the Club?

They haven't posted anything on Social Media or anything?
For now it would have been just sent via the contacts they have to the media to try and reduce the number of phone calls the club get asking for a statement.

Bloody hell. Just to think last week he was fit and well handing the award to Arsene Wenger. Such is life.

I have full faith that he will be fine, though, and i'm glad that the surgery went well.

Get well soon, Sir Alex.

Looked so well at the Arsenal game, come on Sir Alex pull through. Like many of us, the only Man United manager we ever knew until he retired.

Just saw this. I am shocked.

I hope everything goes fine and he does a quick and full recovery.

They are less "supporters" and just deeply unhappy people with nothing goin on in life.
Very true. I hate that they get away with it though.

I like to think that most of our supporters remember that Ferguson was one of the first people to visit Houllier in hospital when he had his heart problems in 2001.

I desperately want him to witness United win the league under a successor.

Brain hemorrhage is a type of stroke. Hope there's no lasting damage and they got it quickly enough :(
No its different.
Old people usually suffer from sub dural hemorrhage, which is not in the brain matter or its not a stroke.
The blood can compress the brain causing respiration and other functions to stop which can be lethal. The surgery has been successful, so I think and hope the worst is over
