 he scored at the Nou Camp.

Let's just hope life mimics art..
Signed him in my second season at Athletico for the sake of it and has played more than I anticipated. His stats aren't so great but his record for me is fantastic considering.

Central midfield as advanced playmaker seems to be working for me

That's exactly what I play him as; does a decent job. Got my average age down to 21 now - love my young boys

Ooo, in mine he's labelled the next Paul Scholes.

Injuries suck. Got two torn calf muscles in the same game.

And a £44m signing (was here beforehand, but I did sign him for £25m for Valencia whom he was bought off) has just been sent to see the specialist for arthritis.

Never seen that before, is it recurring and is he going to be Hargreaves?

Morrison is always worth keeping around the squad. His dribbling skills alone can set up a lot of goals for himself or for others.

In other news, I just realised SAF is pretty much making my FM signings for me for Football Manager 2012. We'll already have Jones, and (probably) De Gea :D

Hehe Minkaro, you're a prophet!

Mike Phelan's contract is up for renewal, and I've read around the web a bit - a lot of people don't seem to rate him as any good.

Quick question, need your guys help: who are some of the best assistant managers in the game, to get as a possible replacement?
Steve Round (Everton) or Eric Black (Sunderland) both look reasonable, but don't really know many others. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

i have a question, on training page, i am trying to assign my coaches to specific areas, and for some reason the shooting, Attacking and Defending ones don't show. It's annoying because despite my world class coaches i have only 3 stars on shooting and attacking which is annoying me. Is there any way i can fix this?

I have £9million transfer budget in January, I need a good centre back who can go straight in to my QPR team and do a decent job until the end of the season.

Who can I get for that price (or less) that will be very good? Recommendations?

Try changing the display from "windowed" (with the - x and square in the top right corner) so it takes up the full screen. change what you want, then change it back. worked for me

Edit: fine go offline, just as i answer. see if i care!

Tidy little striker - I just love a bargain. I pay him more per week than I paid to buy him.

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
Awesome. I was one game away from beating the Premier League record for most wins in a row. All I needed was to beat Nottingham Forest at home. They had 0 shots on target, I had 9. The score ended 1-1, after a goal and an own-goal by one of my players.

They also played with 10 men for 75 minutes. Unbelievable.

Will Keane must be the luckiest player ever in my game. I signed him on a free in League One for Bradford and he scored 33 goals that season. Peterborough then paid his minimum release fee of £2.1m and off he went. He stayed there one season, had 8 starts and 10 sub appearances, scoring 1 goal. That was enough to persuade Birmingham to bid £4.2m for him where he spent another year, scoring 6 goals in 21 starts and 10 sub appearances. That obviously endeared him to the Sunderland manager, who just bought him for £9.25m, where, so far, he hasn't scored in ten starts.

Mathias Jorgensen, you can pick him up for about 1.2m

i bought phil jones after the first season after winning player of the year. hes incredible now hes joined in real life! lol
i done well in my first season but, in the second had a terrible november and december. dropping down to 6th, 6 points behind villa at the top. (villa and Blackburn leading)

rooney and i have had a disagreement he wanted a transfer due to my poor league position, so in january i loaned him to barcelona for an initial fee of 5mil.
sold jonny evans and muller which gave my 100 mil to play turn things around

purchased aguero, pato, nuri sahin, adriano
and now im back on winning ways, hopefully win the league which makes rooney want to stay.

They're all good players, but I dunno, I just wouldn't like playing with that team.

I try and keep a core of as many British players as I can; I hate shelling out for marquee transfers. I enjoy a win more much when it's achieved with academy products etc.

Ahhh nice. Matty James always seems to do really well in my games.

I flop quite often in Europe with United...lost 8-1 to Barca on aggregate last season :(

Is it sad that every season or two I create a new kit for my club?

Yes.

Although I've got the Champion's League anthem saved on my laptop, and I stand up to listen to it before each CL game.

I imagine you sitting on a proper substitute bench in front of your computer now. Do you wear a track-suit (Pulis-style) or do you wear a suit when watching the games?

How do I create them? A combination of the smart shirt designer program and Photoshop. I create a new kit every couple of seasons with the same sponsor and then when in-game the club signs a new kit deal I change the main sponsor. Then drop them in the relevant place for adding graphics.

Here's my Premier League Peterboro home shirt, with totally unrealistic sponsorship

In my second season with United, I declared interest in Ronaldo just to see what he'd say, and he said he'd consider it, but only if I made my interest formal. Hmmmm.

Don't lose for 30 games.

Lose twice in a row. So far.

Hernandez basically scored something like 70 goals in 60 appearances, and now he has hasn't scored for something like 12 games.

The one I always get is "Hector McSpud has not scored for the past five seasons. He's only playing this game because every other striker on the opposition squad ate the same infected turkey."

*90 minutes later*

"Hector McSpud scores seven goals as AFC Telford destroy Man United"

feck you Hector McSpud. Just feck you.

I'm four season into a TNS save. In my third season I nearly made it into the Champions League Group stage...but fell at the final hurdle and had to settle for the Europa League which for £3m in prize money is more than every other Welsh side in the Welsh Prem could dream to make a year

But begining my fourth I managed to make it into the Champions League Group stage after getting through 3 qualifying rounds. Now I was excited to be in the Champions League Group stage until the draw came out and I have got United, AC Milan and Porto

Right feck it, 11 seasons with QPR, it's now too easy and I'm bored.

I'll start a game with Utd for the fun of it. Transfer block for the first season. It's on.

I can never find a decent set, even ones you can download never seem to be useful without absolutely knackering my team up every month or so. I usually just tweak the default ones and get better coaches.

My best result to date, my midtable League 1 Braintree beat a strong arsenal team with the likes of nasri, arsharvin etc.. in there

Into the 3rd season as Workington manager, newly promoted to the BSP. In the close season I had to release most of my players to offset the wage bill, then had the scare of a takeover and the new owners nearly sacking me to get their own man. I managed to blag a few loans and freebies, but overall the squad quality was actually worse than the previous season in BSN. After a poor start I lifted myself out of the relegation zone and now I'm treading water in 15th place after 22 games. Promotion via play offs is unlikely this season. I think my aim is really to establish myself in this league before pushing on by improving my squad in the Summer. I seem to have stopped getting offers from top clubs (Man City had offered me a job in the Summer )

Yeah, they've never quite gotten job offers right. I'm playing as Bradford and in my second season in the Championship (ended up 12th or 13th) I got job offers from Barca, Inter, Arsenal, Man City and Dortmund. Utterly daft.

Is that with past experience as an international footballer? Your experience/reputation can affect job offers like that.
