I hope there’s a huge sense of bittersweet following from the Long Night. I’d be annoyed if the survivors just shrugged it off and went on their merry way. If they didn’t kill anyone major or kill numerous secondary characters then surely they must all come out it somewhat mentally scarred.
I’ve always felt that this last season should have a bleak, hopeless post apocalyptic feel to it. Like even Kings Landing is feeling the pinch with a decrease in temperature from the White Walkers breaking through the wall and maybe seeing that the Sept of Baelor hasn’t been repaired in any way and maybe still burning from the wildfire and KL in general crumbling through Cersei being neglectful and deciding to spend the money on the sellswords of the Golden Company (essentially a female Nero fiddling while Rome burned)
