He’s never had a serious injury, was a relatively late developer, doesn’t rely on pace, has the motivation of the premier league top scorers record and will be chasing trophies at a new club. His game is also incredibly efficient. It would be a huge surprise to me if he was declining by 32. Players of similar style like Ibra or Sheringham tend to have the longest careers.
He's visibly lost some pace, but he's still very productive and would suit our team, and we could play Rashford or the other 9 we have and use him off the bench against extremely high lines if we had to in the occasional big game. You still need a really good #9 (and a winger) to come off the bench to win things.

Would I hand Spurs 50M for him this summer? No. But on a free in 2024 on a 3 year deal like Eriksen got, just at higher money? Absolutely. Does mean we'd have to sell Martial in 2024 (with one year to go on his deal after we trigger his final year extension) if we buy a striker next month or in the summer, but that's probably okay. If he's mostly healthy until then, can probably eke 20M or so from him out of some Serie A or Ligue 1 club that isn't Juve or PSG but is in the CL.

Is he available on loan? Could be just what we need!
No way Levy will loan him and to us in the middle of the season where we're both competing for top 4

My number 1 transfer want in the summer

Year left on his contract in the summer, 80m should hopefully be enough if he pushes for the move
With this amount of fees I would rather go on Vlahovic - same fees(maybe less because of juve's situation), younger and not injury prone.

Made a monumental mistake signing that contract. Spurs won't let him leave for another PL club. City apparently met their initial valuation and they just moved the goalposts last minute and asked for more.
If I was him - I will take a professional agent to orchestrate the move in the summer and not once again use his bloody brother(with all due respect to him). he's 29 and that's his last chance to come and make something meaningful in his career.

Signing that contract was one of the most thick as pigshit moves I’ve seen in football, alongside Moyes and Pardew with their extended contracts. It never works out well. He has to leave, otherwise his entire career will be a big ‘what if’.

I'd avoid him if I were Utd tbh, his floor performance level is very low and his number of poor to good games seems to be getting more and more.

I think the risk he becomes an expensive albatross is way too high.

Rather look or wait for a more dynamic forward on the up.

They will have no choice this summer. It’s going to be sell him for the best they can get or lose him on a free the following year. He’s clearly not extending to stay with this dross.

The future plays for City so unless we get M'Bappe Kane is streets ahead of anyone we could get

A bit of a knee-jerk reaction. He has 13 goals in 17 games, it's one of his best seasons in terms of goalscoring. His mobility might not be what it was but he has compensated with some outstanding playmaking abilities. If utilised right by letting him drop deep he's still one of the best strikers in the world.

It's an interesting point (where to play Kane) I often watch Kane and wish he'd just stay in the box, if he were to come here I'd hope that would be ETH's instruction

This is the problem though, he's just going to occupy spaces we currently have good players in. We need someone that can keep us high, occupy the last defenders and get in the fecking box.

Yeah, that's what worries me, we have to hope and pay a kings ransom for the privilege.

His current style of play is perfect for us. He will have Rashford and Antony/Sancho capable of running in behind him and it will allow him to link up with Bruno. He’s the absolutely perfect player for us and it’s insane that people are turning their noses up at him.

That I agree with, seems like the perfect fit for both parties. Can only assume it's due to it being so early in the season as to why there's not more rumours of a summer exit (other than the links to Bayern)

I mean he is 30 and would be expensive as hell. 9-figure deal with feck all resale value. It's hardly as simple as you're making it sound, despite him definitely fitting us stylistically.

Shevchenko > Torres > Lukaku > Kane. It's inevitable. £100m to Chelsea in the summer and he'll be done.

Will he win anything remotely notable in his playing career, outside of individual awards ?

Spurs aren't going to sell to a club in England. If Bayern want him, even for a lower fee than they'd get if they'd sell to an English club, they'll sell to them instead.

I’d take him for 50m, even if he’s only got a couple of decent years in him. His wages would put me off though. He’d want a 5 year deal I’d expect.

He'll have to go someone in the summer, because its the most important one in his whole career. The choice he makes this summer will be the choice between not winning anything in his career or having a crack at it.

We'll not know if he'll be a United player until we get taken over. If/when we get rich owners, they'll most certainly want the England captain and all time leading scorer if he's available.

Sign him in 2024 on a free and let Martial go.

Sign a marquee in 2023. Sell Sancho and replace.

Rashford, Kane, Osimeh, Antony, Garnacho, New RW, Bruno.

If United get CL football and Spurs don’t (assuming the ownership thing is resolved too!)

I do think this will be the Summer saga. Striker will be #1 priority

Kane may reject a move abroad though if he really has his heart set on breaking Shearer's record. And Spurs will be desperate to avoid losing an £80m fee for nothing other than rivalry.

City will never go for him again, he had his chance.

If City were in for him about the same time they snapped up Walker, who knows what he would've won.

Think Newcastle will put in a bid for him in the summer.

I wouldn't pay more than 60m for him, he could easily flop in a new club after spending all of his career with Spurs.

I think Kane just enjoys what he is — a very good striker who scores and assists at a really high level — whilst being the main man at a side nobody has any significant expectations on to win things or truly compete whilst being on a very competitive salary. I’ve always been a fan, but it’s kind of like, just let him crack on with it, eh? Doesn’t seem overly fussed to go elsewhere.
