Harry played well, the only mad moment I can think of was one of his pointless rash tackles in Brentford's half.

Fantastic header. Had a good game throughout.

This guy's mental strength is something else. He's had it worse than the rest of the team put together, but his head never drops. Hope people give him some credit today

He and McT have both been easy, lazy targets, but this season should have shown that it has never been as simple as lumping so many of our problems on individuals while others skate by.

He is a good player, maybe not what Utd need moving forward but the caricature of him that been such an online phenomenon has been grossly unfair.

One of our best defensive performances all season (which admittedly, is damning with faint praise), and chipped in with a game winning assist. Apart from that, he was spraying those crossfield balls accurately all match. Should be starting ahead of Lindelof and it's not even remotely close.

I have slaughtered Maguire when he's been bad. To be fair to him, he was decent today. We still looked susceptible to Brentford's aerials despite his height. However, he looked better than what was around him at the back.

I actually think having Onana in the team suits him far better than De Gea. With Onana around, Maguire is able to receive the ball further up on the pitch and he’s less liable to getting pressed in the box which is when he inevitably fecks up and tries to pass back to De Gea who’ll kick it straight to an attacker.

Play him with Varane or Shaw when Martinez is out. It’ll be far better than watching Lindelof pretending to defend.

He played well today, so well done to him. If he gets criticised for his bad times, it's only right that he gets praised for the good. Well done.

Great assist at the end considering Brentford CBs had been winning everything in the air all day. He had to win that header and he did.

Yup he just needs to get used to receiving higher up the pitch and into space thanks to how comfortable Onana is on the ball. Saw that chemistry building up a couple of times during the match.

Of course he be one of the players to actually play well. We are still screwed if this is our cb pairing against good teams moving forward

Credit where it is due: he was really solid all around today. That header pass to McTominay on that last free kick was just... *chef's kiss*

If he actually turns out world class - which is what you’d expect for 80m - then fair fecking play to him. Today was one game, but he was quality. Cheeky assist too.

Would love it to be the start of a redemption arc.

Can’t watch the game live today. Will watch replay to see how Maguire actually did. Hope he finally finds himself again in the right shape after so long sidelined to reflect.

He played well again today. When he's been called on, he's done a good job this season.

He deserves to start over Lindelof.

Not sure he's going to turn out world class 4 + years in.
But today he was good. And if he stays good, no-one can have any problem with him staying in the team.

He played well today. Evans could be the reason behind that and taking charge of the organisation. Just let Maguire do his defensive job and focus on it. That was the reason they did wel in Leicester previously, we had under rated Evans' role in their defending performance

I didn’t watch the game but feel you probably got it spot on. Evans haas been praised for his leadership since he started breaking into the first team. His leadership has been shown over so many years during his club and international career. The only issue is his age and his legs now. He is slow now but he still shows he is a big influencer to the team.
