Anyone nerdy enough to know how these pitches at Lords have been playing?
Bit harder to bat in the second innings. All 4 games won by team batting first
Just looking at the 4 matches.. 280+ in 3. Australia defended 240 vs New Zealand.

Most made by team batting 2nd is 260(SA chasing Pakistan's 310).

280 will be a great score going off that.

I love Kane Williamson... What a man.

If England do lose, the one consolation at least is that he'll be the one lifting the trophy

Yeah honestly I’ve we are going to lose a World Cup final NZ are one of the teams I’d begrudgingly be pleased for.

That fifteen minute rain delay could be crucial.

Back in the Benson and Hedges era one dayers used to start at 10.30 in England, but ball dominated bat so much they pushed the start time back to 11 to ensure a more even contest.

That hasn't been that much of a factor in this world cup, which probably tells you how shit the white ball is, but it reduces the window where it could be a factor.

Wasn't that particularly a problem in the early part of the season?

Expected more movement than has been on show. Good for NZ. Nice start.

England have bowled pretty short. May well get more movement pitching up.
