Yeah but as I said above low risk game, only 17k stadium, very light police presence needed.Brentford v Arsenal is in fecking London, but that remains on?

We'll play them two days after some other rearranged tie now.Ridiculous, and people will rightly be fuming with travel plans etc. But avoiding playing Leeds three days after a match in Moldova not a disaster from a footballing side of things.
Well I'll let you know if I seen any of GMP's finest at the game , obviously pleased our game is on but understand it's frustrating for United fans. Shame you had Leeds this week - sure the reputation of their mild-mannered support played into the decision unfortunately......Yeah but MET Police are asking for support from GMP when they could just say we’re not supporting any non essential events until the funeral. If they’re still short on officers that’s when you reach out to others.
Yeah and hopefully it will be two days after Colchester at home in the FA Cup or something rather than 72 hours after a 5 hour flight. We'll play them two days after some other rearranged tie now.
The second half of this season will be fun and no advantage for English sides in Europe now
Needless to say we won the league with 57 points, Devil you know, Cannon (Arsenal) are 2nd with 54 points, and joining us in CL next season are Lions (Chelsea and Aston Villa) with 43 points each. Liverbird and their Anfield witch is 11th with 20 points, Klopp to leave any day now, and Ship (noisy neighbours) is 16th with 14 points, 6 points away from relegation (shit!). Pep to be sacked in the morning. Relegated team are Seahorse (Newcastle), Words/book (Fulham) and flower (Leeds).Tweet

I’m down in London with work from Wednesday until Friday and struggled to get a room, there’s going to a be a load of people there from Wednesday night to pay their respects.I get how big Monday is going to be numbers wise, but I don't understand why they would need so many police on the weekend. Surely there's going to be no one crowding a day/two before the funeral?
Brentford have about 8 fans so that game only need 2 coppers.Brentford v Arsenal is in fecking London, but that remains on?
sound logic but spurs are playing Leicester..albeit a day earlier. That can only be the possible reason. Maybe they want a 24 hour window or something before the funeral with nothing. But then that only works if they’ve cancelled just the Chelsea Liverpool game…Yeah but as I said above low risk game, only 17k stadium, very light police presence needed.
International break? So if they postponed these 2 games, can we see them being played on Tuesday/Wednesday 20/21 September, European fixtures won't be played that midweek anyways.
There's an international break next week sunshine. So if they postponed these 2 games, can we see them being played on Tuesday/Wednesday 20/21 September, European fixtures won't be played that midweek anyways.
Leeds fans love the Queen. More so than we do as a fanbase if we're going to generalise. It's a joke and I bet it's because they were worried that Leeds' fans would play up during any silence before the game.
International break?
Bloody international break, I hate it manThere's an international break next week sunshine.
Apparently because it’s a class A category game. If it was any other opponent other than Liverpool and city, the game would have gone ahead.Gotta say I'm relived Potter's first PL game with Chelsea isn't against us. Some really bizarre postponements going on though. Why is United Leeds off?
feck me, is everyone on the Tyne a criminal? So they have the resources for Spurs v Leicester and Brentford v Arsenal, they keep their winning streaks going yet here in Manchester we have to supply police and cancel our game. Sure it's higher profile and higher risk but it's also unfair to give us more fixture congestion to a northern game.

I’m into history. You are not. There lies the difference you see.Stop posting nonsense.
The police have basically said we can’t be fecked this weekend so cancel itThere’s absolutely no reason our game should be postponed. The FA are fecking scum.
You're joking. Most of those types if not all will be managed by their own teams flying in. Bog standard non armed response officers would not get close.
I fully expected London games to fall this week, especially Arsenal who are centred in the borough where the majority of resources are taken. Albeit four days earlier is strange..
Pulling in coppers from Manchester though is quite something though and I’m trying to work it out.
I get planning for worse case scenario but the numbers don’t add up. Diana’s funeral had an approx of 1 million attendees. I’d be amazed if the Queens sees anything like that number.
I’m sure they’ll find a way to sandwich them in between two tough fixtures. The usual bollocks. When the hell are we going to play those games.
Leeds would be very pro Queen. They are a perfect example of a brexit / English fanbase. Also see Stoke, Burnley etcIt's a joke and I bet it's because they were worried that Leeds' fans would play up during any silence before the game.
Might be skewed with it being right in the middle of the city.feck me, is everyone on the Tyne a criminal?
