Juventuz goes into meltdown

Massimo Culo would be an amazing name btw. There was a milan youth player a few years ago called Felice Evacuo

 mate i think you need to learn how to use translate better or ask for some help to some Italian friend because that does not mean shit

Sorry, can you speak up, I can't hear you.

That forum usually dabbles in racism.
Related with Pogba leaving perhaps? Anyway they aren't the best barometer to judge. Now the Inter fans were more excited with José than United fans, you can be sure about that.

Mourinho being your manager and Pogba leaving them for you has left them quite a bit sore. You aren't some hated rival of course, but they certainly enjoy seeing you fail. All that will likely disappear the moment Mou is no longer your manager, mind.

Now this juventuz place, i've no idea about them. Not an italian forum is it?

Tbf, European rivalry is a very different beast to the domestic kind. It depends heavily on the chance of the draw. You can inadvertently avoid the Milan teams for decades whilst managing to play Benfica every other year! We only played you twice during our Fledgeling & Galactico eras, for example, when we should’ve by rights met a lot more between that 98-03ish period. Our rivalry is based a lot more on you buying our players in the 00s than it is any actual games, save that one famous Ronaldo one..

However we had a genuinely healthy rivalry with Juve for a full decade from about ‘93-‘03, where we played each other maybe 8 times? From the latter end of their Zidane years, to the latter end of our Beckham ones... So we at least built up somewhat of a history. Which now makes meeting again a somewhat nostalgic thing...

Plus I think all the big historical clubs get a certain kick out of meeting each other. And like to exaggerate any past clashes for the hype ting. I remember buying one of the Gazzettas in Rome before the 09 CL final, and reading an interview with Ronald Koeman about how winning would be reveange for losing the Cup Winners Cup to us in 1991...which was purely to drum up some kind of imagined history between United & Barca that wasn’t really there...because really, who actually cared about the Cup Winners Cup?

Not really. We had a very healthy rivalry in the 90s tbf. As big as you can get in randomly drawn European completion, at any rate. And we’re basically equivalents in our respective leagues, in domestic popularity and success, as well as rare duel members of a select group to have won all available club trophies in our history. It’s not really that weird to consider each other rivals of a certain stature. Not hated rivals, sure, but rivals.

If anything, it’s us who currently have less of a claim to it, competitively.

Also, they’re mostly American on that forum.

I appreciate the healthy rivalry particularly in the 90s from a competitive point of view, and I agree that we are equivalents in our leagues in terms of size, success and history. But the way they are pretending that genuine hatred exists between us, calling us the "red cnuts", calling Mourinho a "filthy loathsome classless turd" who "needs shooting". It's all bit disingenuous IMO, in the same way Stoke often pretend there is hatred that exists between both clubs, like when they made that "Munich bastards" banner. It was hatred based on nothing, and it's largely unreciprocated.

To me, those quotes from Juventuz come across similarly. Especially as I'd doubt the majority of them were even alive during the 90s, based on their prose and choice of insults.

I always quite liked Juventus based on those games in the 90s and the great players they had. It was quite surprising to hear that they hate us, but then I have lived in Italy for a few months now and have yet to meet a Juventus fan who is actually from Turin. Maybe it's just like with us, many of the most rabidly aggressive Manchester United fans I've met have never set foot in Manchester. I have always assumed they try to be extra loyal to cover up that they have no real allegiance to the club.

Haha you don't remember Massiomo De Culo? It was a great moment LOL.

I loved our rivalry with Juventus and of all the top elite sides in Europe our record against Juventus must be our best.

After really struggling against them at first we've now built up a fair number of victories against them.

I think out of the 10 losses that they have faced in 189 matches at home, 4 of them have come in last 1 year or so

Allegri will have to take the brakes off it they are to win the CL. Good side but they could only be favourites for the CL if Real/Barca/Bayern are in a down period(and that may be true).

Both games against Utd they had the opportunity to put the foot down and finish us off but chose to see the game out. Could easily have backfired at OT as well where their superiority was even greater. Bonucci is a wonderful footballer but purely as a defender he looks to have regressed quite badly, get on him physically and joy can be had.

Feck me the amount of football cliches in this. Juventus sat back so much that they peppered our goal for 15 minutes straight after they scored. It's like a flowchart really, everytime a team doesn't win a game after scoring a goal its always blamed on trying to close things out.

Juventus were the better team and couldnt finish for toffee, We got 2 set pieces at the end of the game and scored two goals.

Ronaldo scores 65'
Pjanic 67'
Pjanic 73'
Cuadrado 74'
Pjanic 77'

Did you expect Juventus to defend a set piece with 4 players and leave the rest up the field or something .

No, but putting on Barzagli was a negative move. Yes Utd were lucky but look at the first game, massive superiority but their ambition to extend the lead diminished quite early. They still had a fair amount of control of the game, but they allowed a very poor Utd to put them under pressure late. Yes that is going to happen away from home but this issue has been brought up by Juve fans as well.

Any juicy stuff regarding the Dybala-Lukaku swap?

Can't bother with quotes but from what I'm seeing they are sure Dybala is gone after the comments about him. They would like to swap him with Eriksen and also get Icardi, then their team would be perfect. Oh, and they think Lukaku is a useless donkey, and don't want him at all.

They’re smarter than they first appeared

Why is that an absolutely brilliant idea and yet the powers that be supposedly want to sign up a big lump to get in the way of Ronaldo instead...

They're not too enthralled at the prospect of signing Lukaku, especially at the expense of Dybala. They had the same view of him 3 years ago. To be honest, I don't know why he would ever want to play in Italy anyway?

One person did favour a swap involving Sanchez though? They don't think Sarri will last very long either.

I am hardly a fan of Lukaku but I'll say this.

Lukaku is more guaranteed to score 20+ goals in Italy than Dybala being a success at United or Spurs.

Obviously the latter has much more upside.

We tend to hate on big Rom here but he has outscored in G+A Dybala every one of the last 5 seasons.

Just waiting for the casual racist posts.

Don't have to go far for those.

Lukaku's brother is having a successful career playing at Lazio and has become a bit of a facebook 'cult hero' (a generous description). Not for any particular reason just more because he fits well into a lot of meme's.

How big is their squad currently, I feel like they’re overstocked all over the pitch, although I can’t say I’ve paid massive attention

Yep, you just have to look at someone like Dzeko. Ageing and slow but still an absolute handful and until this year scored for fun in Italy. Lukaku's strength and speed will bulldozer teams.

Yeah, fair to say they don't want him. You'll see them coming on here to check out what we're saying. And you guys at Juventuz, we say thank you! Even if it's straight up cash, enjoy Lukaku and he non-existent first touch! This is what you can to look forward to

If Lukaku can get lean again he could be good. He has a passion for Italian football so maybe he'll work hard once there.
