Good cross, shite performance. Needs to add more variety to his game when he’s playing on the left and go on the outside more.

Average all game but then comes up with moments of greatness that win games.

As Cristiano as you can get I guess

Lovely cross but needs to shape up. Drifting in and out of games. Letting right backs waltz past him with not even a dangled leg. He will be fine.

That assist bailed him out today in some respect because he was wretched. Just continually seemed to make the wrong choices until the end.

A moments player currently, needs to find consistency in his general play because the potential is there.

Bad game but still crucial to getting a tough win. At the moment, him and Cavani should be starting and the other attacking players should fight for the third spot.

He was offside anyway. Would've been chalked off.
Players didn't know that. Rashford goes for glory instead of a simple pass and a piss easy tap in at a time where it was crucial for us to score. It's beyond shit

Of course not nearly anywhere as good, but Cristiano is a massive player on moments of the game.

Cristiano can be invisible all game then 3 moments later, he has a hattrick
Rashford got all the moments wrong, apart from that one single cross.

Great ball at the end, but a terrible match overall.

I'm a big fan and have defended him for a long time, but something is up and it just isn't changing. He's gone from a livewire, all-action forward to - by a distance - the laziest player in our team.

He doesn't press - ever, offers zero defensive contribution, terrible off-ball movement, doesn't commit defenders off the dribble. If he gets a finger laid on him he's on the ground for 30 seconds.

He's a big talent, so there are still moments of greatness, and I'm sure he'll come back from this...but his commitment and effort have been beyond awful for so long.

Assist aside, he constantly made the wrong decision today as has always been the problem. Him and Martial don't seem to be gaining any consistency as they get older. Rashford himself has been poor this season, Leipzig aside. The less said about Martial, the better.

Is it just me or does he look absolutely fecked? Almost like he’s barely getting by
Its a slow recovery from his back injury. Saw a graph of take ons per game over the past year and a bit, and showed a huge drop off per game after his back injury and a slow progression after it. He'll get there. Lacking in confidence too, otherwise he would've hammered that one layoff instead of trying to pass to Fred.
We just need to manage him properly so he doesn't get more injuries.

Nope he was average all match and had one good moment which won the match
He wasn't average, he was atrocious, got all the major decisions wrong, barely active in the game, but whips in a good cross where Cavani is the one doing the hard work. Pretending that Rashford is the one that wins us the match is beyond silly.

Solid performance with bad and good moments. But one thing always bugs me.
After 3-2, we had 3 on 1 counter, Rashy only needed to pass on first touch. But he didn't. Because his head is always down. Same goes for Martial and Greenwood. Our attackers refuse to plsy simple

Well he did get the assist so you really can't take that away from him. He's there on the pitch for that very reason. To create a moment to win the game.

But yea, apart from that he spent the whole evening running into players.

Super performance during injury time, assist for Cavani and set up a chance for Fernandes. Rubbish during the opening 90 mins. Turned out he was offside for his big chance early in the 2nd half, even then it was a poor finish straight at the keeper. Attempted pass towards Fred was a strange choice, given the likelihood of Fred being offside during such a move.

Very much a moments player. He could be having a complete mare yet in a split second can make something out of nothing.

Mark of a champion is having an absolute abysmal game and coming up with a moment of magic to impact the game. Not having Martial definitely affected his play.

Great ball, not much else! Seemed like he had a knock though in fairness.

Can we rename thread title to 'Dr Marcus Rashford MBE' as well, bit disrespectful :nono:

So, according to Transfermarkt, Rashford has played 1083 minutes in all competitions and has 8 goals with 5 assists. This means he averages a goal contribution every 83-84 minutes played.

Needs to improve his final ball/decision making in key moments but he always looks a threat in fairness to him.

I think the frustration is that his negatives are holding him back from being world class, not that he's a major hindrance
