People here made the same mistake with Kane labelling him one season wonder too. I hope for God sake we sign one of those one season wonders people keep mocking!

Peak Suarez was a level above Salah. He used to create alot of chances too
No way, I'd listen to someone who tries to make an argument that Suarez was better than Salah, but in no way was he a level above him. Only football gods are a level above Salah.

It was crazy talk, I'd like to know what was going to make him a one season wonder.

I know you maybe a little biased being an Egypt fan and all but who would you rather have between him and Hazard?

Hazard is a better dribbler and overall has bigger influence on the game. Salah's biggest trait has always been his ability to move behind defenses in space and find great positions. He has improved his finishing and long range shooting. Overall I'll say Salah is the better goal scorer but Hazard influences the game more with his dribbling.

You'd be a great politician! Long reply, being nice to both players but not answering the question!

I think what he's trying to say is they're both better at different things. Hazard is the better playmaker, Salah will get you more goals.

They'd be fantastic in the same team together though, Hazard left, Salah right. Sheesh.

TBH we really have to thank Jose for saving the league. He spread the talent evenly and somehow we got the poorest one.

Completely forgot he was at Chelsea  If you still had Diego Costa as a target man doing the leg work for that team. OMG.

Mourinho the destroyer really is doing gods work isn't he. Let's hope he takes over city next.

He is brilliant now. For all the talk about the front three it's mostly about Salah. He's almost twice as productive as Firmino/Mane. Let's see whether he will be able to say fresh and fit till the end.

Since Mahrez/Vardy in 2016, I thought we wouldn't see such an explosion in form for a long time. Then came Salah with his 30+ goals season.

You have to wonder how many players are out there, waiting to have their potential unleashed under the right coaching etc.

Depends on what your team needs really. They're on the same level pretty much

I'll join in. His non-chalant celebrations piss me off..
Yep, he’s portrayed to be ‘humble’ but he has this air of arrogance, superiority and dislikability about him. He probably has a statue of himself in his bathroom.

Probably just in response to being written off as a one season wonder, and how he wasn't cutting it this season. Yet there he is, top scorer again.

Anyone who thought he'd repeat last seasons tally is deluded.

I'm still convinced you only even bothered buying Salah to stop us from getting him.

He didn't make any sense as a purchase for Chelsea at the time.

That was us actually, we were haggling over 12 mill with Basel for months and Chelsea swooped in and wrapped it up in 2 days.

Yeah it was completely Evil Mourinho's fault it's not as if Chelsea had any Issue forcing players on their managers ,It was more the case of Chelsea misjudgment together with Mourinho's inability to nurture attacking young talents properly both Club and manager share the blame equally.

That's exactly my feeling with him too. Probably also because he's from the dippers, but he's always portrayed as this humble guy, yet his celebrations signals something way different to me. The celebrations to me are a bit douchy/arrogant. At least Ronaldo is honest about having a big ego.. You dont see humble-guy Messi being arrogant when he scores neither. Its the mismatch between the two attitudes that does it for me.

Can't believe the English media still run with these types of garbage stories, citing the Jerusalem Post ffs!

You're not familiar with the English media I take it, the only thing they like more than making stuff up is printing someone else's made up bollocks.

Does anyone think salah has done enough to qualify as a premier league great?
32 league goals last season is a historical record no doubt but I get the feeling he doesn’t quite have that spark of ingenuity that defined previous greats like bergkamp,Henry,Cristiano Ronaldo

I also tend to agree with the sentiment expressed here that his all round game isn’t At hazards level.of course having said this you would be mad to argue he isn’t a great goalscorer but I just feel besides this he doesn’t have any specialist qualities

Bergkamp is a premier league great? If he counts then Salah surely does.

Also, he's probably our main guy in the buildup too. Great holdup play, good dribbling, and in the past few games he seems to be finding that silky weight to his passing and crossing he had last year. He's the full package as far as I am concerned, even though it took me a while to get used to it, as he just seemed to good for his natural talent. His overall play just keeps getting better though.

Salah is nowhere near the likes of Henry or even Bergkamp. And he doesn't possess the skill levels of Hazard. But Salah is much more influential than Hazard, in that he rarely disappears even when playing rubbish at times. There is a reason Salah will finish with a massively higher goals per game ratio in the PL than Hazard.
