Classy exit from Jose. He's most likely been paid a lot of money relating to lack of public comment but it's still a nice change from the previous 2 lunatics.
Tbf I've never heard him badmouth any of his former clubs or employers, he's classy in that aspect

Do you think he does it hoping to get the job back one day or do you think he has a genuine element of decorum in that respect?
Despite the acrimonous circumstances with which he left Chelsea and Madrid I've never heard him say shit about the clubs, boards etc. Anyways for whatever reason he does it it's the right thing to do

Interesting that not many players have spoken out about his departure. Only Jesse and Bailly have said anything. Quite telling of the situation in the dressing room.

In that case, what about critiquing Ed and the Glazers?
Critiquing Ed and the Glazers is fine, it has been done and will be done, however there are numerous ways in which that criticism is less pertinent.

For starters, nobody actually knows what specific decisions they made, apart from the appointment of the manager and the general level of investment (which is the second highest in the country). We know precious little about most everything else. It's a very convenient canvas for all sorts of fantasies.

The manager is just not in that sort of position, whoever it may be. He makes most of the important decisions, and virtually all of those decisions are visible to us and in the public sphere.

To expect equal amount of criticism, considering all that, is ludicrous; without even examining the particulars.

We know what decisions they made.

We know they had the final say on all transfers and contracts ( player and manager!). we know the managers they have hired and fired. we know the players they have signed and at what price they negotiated, and, the signings they decided not to make. We know the players that were sold and the ones that were not sold. we know which player got contract extensions and how much our players are paid. so we know enough.

we know enough to criticize Glazers, Ed, managers and players, but most fans just seem to be obsessed with managers, and players to a lesser degree

Well, we have changed managers and changed players. The only unchanging factor is Ed making football decisions.

Italy national team
Eric Bailly instagram.
quote:
He posted two images of himself and Mourinho together on Instagram along with the caption: "Whatever they may say, I will always be thankful to the person who gave me the chance to make my debut at Old Trafford.
"Thank you for what you have taught me. Good luck, coach," he added.

Base on this words of Bailly to Jose. Seem like Bailly and Jose relationship fall out wasn't as bad as the media made it to be.

Only time we needed him to be classy was when he was incharge but he was too busy throwing players under the bus . No sympathy from me . Where was that class when we got knocked out of the CL and he told us how many times he sat in the opposite dugout and beat us? Its easy to be humble after the sack but if he really cared he wouldn't have behaved in the way he did

No, we really don't. The manager states his wishes, then the CEO formalises the deals. Unless you're making a 'we are always overpaying for deals, look at Chelsea' type of argument, again those are all choices and decisions by the manager. We know very little about the players that weren't signed, except for the now famous case in the last window.

We have the highest wage bill in the country. The amount of knowledge we have about the decisions behind the scene compared to the amount of knowledge we have about the countless choices made by the manager is minuscule, and that would explain more scrutiny even if Mourinho weren't as much of an obnoxious cretin as he is.

So Lingard, Rashford, Dalot and Gomes are the only members of our squad to wish Jose well?

I would have thought Matic and the grown ass man would have been the first to Tweet. Pogba's might be interesting, in a highly controversial way.

You're wasting your time trying to explain the situation to known Jose apologists.

Yes the manager identifies players but the manager does not negotiate the transfer fees. That is done by Ed and his crew.
Ed does not blindly sign just any player the manager desires no matter the cost.

It is Ed who decides if we should pay what is being asked (fellaini for 30m, mata for 40m, di maria for 60m, martial for 50m, Pogba for 90m, lukaku for 75m+, Fred for 52m, Matic for 40m etc) or declines the deal ( a la morata, perisic, willian, toby, maguire etc).

You can approve or disapprove of his decisions, but you cannot absolve him of his responsibilities

Ah here comes Custis, CAF`s favorite journo. Think he was defending JM from others on SS and such.

Wonder how much truth is in this...

No surprise the Journo is Custis who has constantly fought Mourinho's corner against criticism from other Journos. Custis even went on Sunday Supplement and had words with Ollie Holt who was a strong critic of Mourinho and his out dated football.

You spent over £50m on goalkeepers and defenders when most were spending less than £30m.

When City need a new striker or midfielders we will see how much you spend. If your club is happy to pay nearly £70m for a sub winger and over £60m for your last CB purchase I dread to think what you will pay for players in positions that demand a higher price.
WTF are you on about?

There's a 200% chance this is bollocks for a variety of reasons. Mainly it being the Sun and also the fact there are no reports of Pogba being battered, which would have been the result of such a move.

I do not believe the story either but, exactly who would batter Pogba?
